I prefer Direct3D because OpenGL lags my IMVU.

I use the advanced options, but I only use GL when I'm getting lag. What I usually find is that if I switch to GL for awhile the frame rate improves for a time, and then it will get laggy again and I need to switch back.

Thank you all for your comments and feedback. We understand why the OpenGL renderer is a good option for some of you and that we will ensure you continue to have access to a high-quality renderer.

Varsha, has there been any more work on the DX11 renderer that was tested for a short while?

Of course they are. I enjoy OpenGL because it uses my graphic card's settings, but it does have a tendency to crash easier.

If I had hardware support I would want to use OpenGL.

On my computer both D3D and OGL are emulated and as a result D3D is slower than Standard and OGL has broken lighting.

Needless to say I run standard graphics.

I use IMVU with OpenGL and a special Nvidia profile for rendering. I have no lag, and what's actually funny is that OpenGL renders IMVU faster than Standard Graphics (fast).

Though I have a problem with relogging. When I log out of my one alts and log in the other, the Nvidia profile has no effect at all, and IMVU looks all grainy all over again. I have to restart IMVU with saved password for Nvidia to take over the rendering again.

With the Nvidia profile I refer to IMVUClient.exe.
