Curious why the original discussion board was locked. Clearly there was a lively debate about this going on. I am asking IMVU to right what has been wronged and ask those that are affected to sign the petition below.
here everyone this is the link to send a complaint to them we need 5000 ppl to send them we are not happy with this here the link pls do so
[9:00:51 AM] julie: Please go to the site below to sign this petition: We the consumers of IMVU are livid and irate with the recent decision made by IMVU pertaining to triggers and triggerless music bought directly from the shop catty.
Therefore we are protesting by signing this petition and halting all purchases until our songs have been returned or all credits issued for the ones shortened.
Please send this to everyone on your friends list today.

Thank you for posting the link. Now, I hope this one will be filled with what we can do to make IMVU a better place and more fun. I would love there to be more music in the music store too. Thank you again.

All threads get locked when they reach 100 pages, my guess it they chose to lock it now while they were online instead of going offline and letting it roll over 100 pages with them not around to lock it. _________________ DP by Katelyn <3 |

Triggered items promoted music from small bands, with legit permission: WAY COOL. BUT most items out there are (illegal) rips and we all know it.
TOS - no surprise. Refunds... um... I've only been here a year and have known about this "debacle" the entire time - and I've not even devved but a few things.
Music Store sucks - AMEN! SING IT TO THE HEAVENS! but.. dollars to donuts, that resolves back to whichever bigwig licensing company IMVU uses to get the rights for the tracks. Oh.. did I say "rights"? As in "people who own music decide who gets to use it"?
-headsmack- C'mon... I know the average age of people on this system is 23, but FFS, welcome to the real world. Just cuz you have it on your mp3 player, and just cuz you see it on your screen at home... does not make everything revolve around you, personally. Boycott, Leave, w/e.

| Lets face it........ NONE of this would be happening at all if IMVU reviewed all the products themselves and we didn't have Peer Review! |

IMVU may not, but said petition can also be presented to the BBB, who does not take kindly to poor customer service. _________________ What would you say if I walked away?

Well I remember when long ago we made items and that is what was done.
When IMVU shortned everything to 20 seconds it was to make way for the store and keep the RIAA away, not said outright but known.
Instead of restricting items it should have gotten rid of them.
It should not have let them remain in catalog at all from that day in 2008.
Anything with a sound effect should also had to go not only through PEER but also IMVU review.
No matter what IMVU let the products linger in the catalog from 2008 and they could be bought, unless the creators removed them back then.
So like anyone else pretty much anywhere, someone finding it in the catalog is going to assume, it is there it is good to go.
So you would penalize people for being their normal socially engineered selves?
Just give them the credits IMVU it will not hurt your wallet, and then do what you already have KILL the MUSIC. |

Ok fine its a copyright thing for musicians, tht being the case imvu set the initial regulations for remaking these trigs and allowing them to be made and sold, and made the choice to finally remove them, REFUND the credits to the people who bought them, not a set date either refund all the credits spent, we were told we could buy them now they decided revamp their initial desicion, FINE....then in the spirit of good customer service REFUND your customers for your poor initial decision to allow the triggered tunes.
Sometimes you need to put your money where your mouth is.... sorry imvu, thems the breaks in the business world....
