LOL I kinda like the default look when I clear the cache as it reminds me of how far IMVU has come. _________________

Hehe..true, but you can always take an outfit of your starter outfit and set that as your default whenever you like.
Best of both worlds!
A little bump since it is still a good idea! (Well, to me at least) _________________

I am surprised more people aren't posting. I can't tell you how many people have posted in forums or said in chat, they HATE when they do a fresh install of the client, they come back in ugly default.
Since IMVU don't educate new users or even old ones that there IS a way currently to change your default outfit, they need to implement this in the client outfits tab.
Here is the link to Outfit Management Tab on the website. You can change your default outfit there. Just click the Settings Tab.

Bump.
Thanks for re-posting that link Karen.
Hopefully IMVU gets a chance to look at this, but if not, at least we can try to educate people about this feature. _________________

I agree Celyng. It is one of two mains reasons I use the forums. I know, having been on imvu a long time, I have a lot of knowledge of tips and workarounds to help users.
The sad truth is the staff even don't have the knowledge we have. The CS certainly don't. Also sad is that imvus little *tips* on the loading screens rarely help anyone. They are vague tips with no information about exactly how to do it.
ok on topic. Come on imvu. You gave us great client ouftits management, with one huge, glaring error. Not able to change DEFAULT OUTFIT! _________________

Looks like there is an update to this, but I have not seen any announcement or this feature in client.

This feature has been added and will be available in a pre-release shortly.
Thank you.

It isn't in the current release (467.28). Has anyone seen this in any release (even if it was disabled afterwards)?
It's still a good feature to have. _________________

I haven't seen it in a prerelease yet. I need to update to the lastest prerelease. I hear 467.30 loads faster than it has in a while. _________________

Would have been a while ago since the date on that comment is Nov 30, 2011.
If they had it and reverted it, I never saw it or the reason why it isn't in yet.
Hopefully they just forgot to add the code in and this thread will remind them to add it. _________________

I agree with this because IMVU seems to be moving most of Outfit Management to the Client these days. _________________ "You're not going crazy... You're going sane in a crazy world!"--The Tick |
