I posted a few of these to the Homepage forum as well, but some of these might be used more here. Just helpful tools that I hope you guys will be able to find useful! I know how hard it can be to afford a decent editing system(GIMP aside, I'm not GIMP savvy) especially when your money has to go to something else(bills, college, residence, doctor bills, ect) so these are free alternatives to photoshop. Some are browser based for those working on a maxed out harddrive and some are downloadable programs for traveling artists. I've included color palette sites(assistance with banners, icons, color schemes, ect), reference sites and screen recording links. I hope someone finds them useful!
Image creation:
Pixlr(online editor)
Splashup(online editor)
Online Image Editor(self explanatory lol)
Even more Online Photo Editors(7)
Sumo.fm(Online editor)
ChocoFlop(software exclusive for MAC users - free alternative to Photoshop)
Krita(software for PC/WINDOWS users - free alternative to Photoshop)
Colour Palettes:
ColourLovers
YOLO Colorhouse(Paint company though their palettes are very inspirational)
DeGraeve Color Palette Generator
Color Combos
Helpful Hair colour palette by Rueme on Deviantart (Mostly for basics or color reference)
Helpful Hair Color Palette by NightmareSky on DeviantArt(Again, mostly for basics or color reference)
Helpful Skin Color Palette by AngelandChangeling for those who have difficulty with skintones.
Screen recording/ect:
Screencast-o-matic - A screen recording program that runs from your browser. (For those interested or looking for a way to make video tutorials without downloading shady software)
Screencastle - A screen recording program that runs from your browser. (Another or those interested or looking for a way to make video tutorials without downloading shady software - and don't like/can't use screencast-o-matic) _________________ my products |
