Edited to INSERT IMPORTANT INFORMATION 9/10/2010
WE HAVE A SITE FOR THE CONFERENCE.. AT A PRICE WE CAN AFFORD.
Located right of the turnpike between Kissimmee and St Cloud Florida.
The Heritage Park Inn on US192 (2050 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, Kissimmee FL) has agreed to host the conference at their location.
You have to call and mention MICROCON to get the 44.00 per night rate Heritage Park Inn | 407-846-4545 | 1-877-586-8080 THE HERITAGE PARK INN so you can reserve your room.
We need 20 rooms secured at $44.00 per night to get it at below $200.00 ( total cost) per day for 3 fair sized rooms.. Enough space for this event. WIFI Included..
More space is available if we need it
Registration page will be up this weekend so you can Pre-register.
They know what IMVU is and the registration desk hostess is a member.. WOW..
EDITED TO ADD a couple of lines:
Just to let you know this is not an OFFICIAL IMVU EVENT BUT A DEVELOPER SPONSORED AND RUN EVENT
I would like to find out if you might be interested in a MicroCon for developers in Orlando.
With the big Conference being held in Vegas, I thought that a mini version might also help serve the developers from the southern US. But everyone would be welcome to attend.
Whether your are a Noobie, Old Hat, Texturer or Mesher. YOU ARE Welcome to attend it.
Because of forum rules I am not allowed to post a direct link to the information form we have on our web site. However, if you go to my home page there is a link there. LOOK IN THE BLOG
I need your feed back as to when this could take place for planning purposes. Can't get Good speakers and rooms without knowing the dates and types of workshops to develop plans for.
OH yes, I do have ideas as to the itinerary of meetings and events for it.
Thanks

I voted March - like everyone else it seems. Feb 25th is my mom's birthday - she's be pretty tweaked if I said.. oh see ya.. off to a virtual world conference - and the way VA comp works is paid once a month at the beginning - end of the month = no money. _________________

I know I'm definitely interested. I do want more information about meshing and having a demo of Sketcher, 3D Max and Blender is amazing if you can make it happen.
What about those creators who aren't ready to even think about meshing yet? Maybe you should plan something for those creators? _________________

If you mean texturers..
Well if someone who really knows one of the paint programs wants to give a tutorial class they are also welcome to contact me about doing this. _________________

Since I live in Florida, I am definitely interested in coming but I am concerned that it does seem to be (at this point) more geared toward meshers. Being a "texturer", I would also vote along with Bella to have more input for that artistic endeavor, which is what I consider it to be Bella, I'm definitely interested in working on a workshop for that if you would lke to ? |

No, this is absolutely not geared toward just meshers! Yikes! I hope no one else thinks that!
Since this is being put together by LadyQuestio, with some volunteer help from others, I'm sure the more help she can get, the better! She wants your suggestions, and input!
Oh, and more volunteers? _________________

CONTACT ME
I am trying to get individuals who have experience with a variety of graphics programs to attend. Not just Meshers but texturers.
For Gimp, PSP, Adobe, Corel, and Paint.
With only 13 responses to the poll, it makes it hard to plan seminars, booths, software tools , Vendors, etc.. I already know what programs some of the respondents use..
This MicroCon is for your the developers, whether you are a mesher, texturer, Noobie, or old hat pro.
I need your input. So I can make this happen.
By the way on my HP is a link to a questionnaire as to what programs are used, Date selection, and a bit more information. _________________
