I can't Download IMVU?!!!

Okay well I couldn't download it from the actual website so I ended up getting refereed from a friend of mine to download from Downloads.com. But I wasn't able to see any of the items I own. I could only get dressed by guessing or by using previously saved outfits. I tried updating it to the newer version but it wouldn't work either it kept saying download failed whenever it got to nse2BD.tmp. Finally I uninstalled IMVU and I went to look on the forums here and I saw that Lollirot had a similar problem in '08. I saw the link Shira posted on her thread so I tired using

http://static.imvu.com/imvufiles/installers/InstallIMVU_403.38_full.exe

but it was a much older version and when I clicked update I ended up back at the same original problem with

Download Failed: Connecting to host

I tried taking off my firewall to download it, and that didn't effect anything either.

I've got Windows XP.

Uninstall what you have and install the new client.

If not, then you'll have to file a help ticket so tech support can fix it for you.

Make sure your Firewall is letting the IMVUClient.exe, IMVUQualityAgent.exe, and 1VivoxVoice.exe full access to the web.

And if you have any Parental Controls enabled, you're going to have to set them up as well.

It always says
Error occured
Retry/Cancel

I kept on clicking on retry it won't download....I'm pissed off...and I uninstalled it because I had a black screen all over the place when I opened my Avi's clothes...it has no clothes on o_o"
and yeah...it won't download...help please...
