I thought IMVU changed the refund policy awhile back, but someone I know got hit really hard today, and is danger of losing her account... not to mention, money that she really needs right now.

Do ALL GA to AP re-rates trigger refunds now, and do ALL AP to UFI re-rates trigger them? Is it one or the other? Case by case basis?

Just trying to gather what info I can.

did they rerate the item themselves or was it changed by imvu ?

as far as i know then imvu have changed the rating that does cause for refunds even if the product was wrongfully rerated i dont know if you can contest the refund and get the credits back though

I contested an item re-rate once. Refunds were given and the item was made ap. This was back before the helpless tickets. I simply stated that it was falsely re-rated and that I refused to be punished for their oversight and have my income garnished and demanded it back. Within just a few days.. my item was ga again and my credits were refunded.. .I think you have to specifically ask for it though or they just don't bother with it. I could have just been one of the lucky few though. *shrugs* Tell your friend good luck...she/h is gonna need it.

Yes and yes. As far as I am aware, all re-rates trigger refunds (i.e., all re-rates trigger credits to be withdrawn from the dev's account to pay the refunds). The confusing gray fuzzy area is whether or not the customer who lost the item due to a re-rate ever sees those refunds. (That is a definite possibility of a maybe... at best.)

Thankfully I've never had any of my products rerated... a bunch of my purchased goods however did get a (mostly unwarranted, imo) rerate. I remember getting refunds for some of them, back in my early days.
More recently a some goods were rerated but I'm quite sure I never was refunded for those. I even filed a helpless ticket over it a few weeks back and lo and behold got an answer! It said I had to contact my reseller to get it solved. Laughing (I wrote them back pointing out the ridicule in such an answer and simply got the same answer again.)

If a product gets re-rated, do we as a developer have to pay back the whole thing? Including Imvu taxes, derivable fees and such?

I'm thinking no. Recently, I had a product re-rated to ap. It had below thirty sales when it happened, some of them to GA customers. The amount of credit refunds weren't extremely high. So I'm guessing it doesn't refunds imvu's profits as well. But then, it could depend on the amount of them being GA users. Huh.

I would certainly hope we don't pay imvu's profits back.

I have fixed the problem with the item, adding my own opacity to cover the parts I missed (which gets me cuz it's always the first part of an opacity map I make!) , took a photo of it and sent it in an incredibly helpful ticket *laughing* over two weeks ago and it's not been opened yet. So seeing that item get re-rated back to GA will probably take months.

Its something we all are at risk from sadly.If a product is edited,re rated by imvu back to ga then will the developer get his/her refund credits back??Just curious.

This shouldn't be automated though.
What about grief flaggers or those users who are bored with the item and want the credits back?
Until IMVU examins the rerate reason, the account of the CC may have been taken away
