Can anyone explain how I can have missed chat invites, when I wasn't even logged onto the client?

It was about 7 days ago or more. I logged into my ALT Account and noticed my Alt stayed logged in for about 24 hours or so. This logged in status showed in the 3d Chat Client and on webpages. I even restarted my computer to try to fix it. I have no idea, why.

It seems the server were wanting us to stay - LOL

'Ghost' logins, happen on MMOs a lot too. Basically you disconnect, and the server does not register you as being disconnected. All I can think of is the same concept happened with you.
