Inconsiderate bloody rich kids.

U know how hard it is to keep up, when u in a poor country with heavy exchange rate ?

Now you complain about helping some people have a bit more fun in IMVU. You know how little 25k actually is ?

Yes, i paid VIP and AP, so I do support, but I cant afford to buy extra creds the whole time. Now the limit have been dropped to 500cr /day . wth ? One can now buy something every 3rd day.

Surveys ? There is only surveys available for the already fortunate 1st world countries.

Why get all bent out of shape? The MYB deal is just bait and switch marketing, give it a couple weeks and it'll all be over. It was 2000 credits/day, and in the last month it's dropped to 500. Give it a couple weeks and the whole thing will be over.

The fact that they are predits is more of a good thing than a bad thing. In the eyes of a dev predits are bad because they don't fund future development, and I know that sucks. The issue is if they were real credits, you'd have people with 20 yearbook accounts transferring to 20 imvu accounts and gifting those credits to one used account, creating a counterfeit credit factory that would financially massacre IMVU.

The whole point of the predits system is to keep the freebie level at a rate where people will still purchase credits on a regular basis. If we didn't have the restrictions of promotional credits the whole system would fail.

One possible compromise is if IMVU created a dev trade program, where active developers could exchange predits for credits at a rate of 2:1 (or something) I think it would help edge development. This could be restricted to a minimum tier to prevent anyone from signing up for the development program just to collect real credits. I dunno, worth thinking over.

The yearbook thing? Meh, bait and switch. The promo will be wrapped up in a couple weeks and all the hopelessly addicted IMVU users will be out pawning home appliances to buy prepaid cards, creating an even stronger economy. So don't have a stroke over it. IMVU is supposed to be for fun, remember?

um lets see, you posted about myyearbook dying out within a couple weeks on May 23rd. it's now almost August and myyearbook is still going strong.

as for the whiner regarding 25k or whatever, yeah if you wanna give some unknown website your credit card info...lol and it's not like you can buy alot with that amount anyways!

and the person that says there's a 1000 etc a day limit...uh you can only transfer 100,000 myyearbook lunch money which converts to a whopping 500 predits...which that isn't squat.

did you all whine when imvu gives surveys for free credits? did you whine when imvu let you watch videos to get credits? did you whine when imvu let you do peer review to get credits? did you whine when imvu let you "like" imvu on facebook to get credits? did you whine when you verified your email with imvu or downloaded the imvu toolbar to get credits?

No. you didn't. so kwit yer btchen

What's the big deal with exchanging creds from myyearbook? It's helpful to people who can't buy creds all the time. I can't buy creds at all, so I have to earn them from peer review and myyearbook. So I enjoy being able to earn creds even if it takes awhile to do so.

So you're saying someone like me
Who pays 900$ of mortgage monthly
    Gets all these bills
Is just a 21 year old university student
Has to waste money on IMVU? because it disturbs everyone that I cannot simply enjoy 500 credits, and all the other little things IMVU gives out so people like me or in worse financial situations can enjoy IMVU without having to go red and wishing I was rich so I can enjoy simple things like IMVU?

Didn't know the world was turning into that.
If you don't like myyearbook, then don't use it.
IMVU didn't tell you to use it, or said to use. Just like they didn't tell you to use IMVU. If you don't like it as I said, THEN DON'T USE IT! There's no need to 'whine' about something you don't like.

Thread was zombied. o.o But... I disagree with the OP. Especially considering promo credits are factored into the tier ranking. Lack of promo credits=lower tier ranking. Plus... I'm quite sick of people who seem to think IMVU should not cater only to the rich and privileged. People who use 'real world' examples like, 'You don't see bushiness giving away stuff for free' blah blah blah, is a bad example. It costs IMVU nothing to 'produce' credits, nor does it cost them anything to send out 'virtual products' since they are computer code, not physical goods. If you give away a bag of potato chips or a 20 dollar bill, it is gone, you cannot give it away again. This is not the case with virtual products and currency. But I digress, this thread should be locked, last post prior to zombie person was in may.

For me I can't change Lunch Money into IMVU credits. It won't let me.

People are already complaining to much about not earning free credits. We shouldn't take this away personally.

Indeed it is.

Anyway, I'm surprised the MYB contract is still live. When they started dropping the number of credits per day so quickly I was sure it was headed to an end. Well, I was wrong.

Observation: The only people outraged by predits seem to be the ones that wish to earn a living by reselling credits.

Reactions?

I'm a developer. I like my income. But, even I understand that hard times like nowadays, people don't always have money to throw around for quite frankly insignificant-in-the-grand-scheme-of-things stuff, like IMVU. If you're financially strapped, even buying reseller credits can be too expensive... 20 dollars might get you 40,000 credits from a reseller, but that 20 bucks could be used for more important things, like gas, or food. Promo credits just allow the poorer types the opportunity to enjoy IMVU just as well as the rich folk.

odd..,

DAMN not having a cc

Still, I mean, how about if 100 people sign up... That's 2,500,000 credits just there. Not to mention that if they get their friends to sign up, they get free L$. It's not a great system.

Still on about MyYearbook, I'm afraid that IMVU is slowly becoming a haven for pedophiles. I always get the stupid invitations from idiots, but it's going to get worse with all the new dating features. Sadly, I don't think IMVU will take much notice until something actually takes place oh their servers. MyYearbook is filled with a bunch of nasty stuff, looks like trash, and pretty much is trash. It's nothing that can ever get as popular as Facebook ad MySpace for that reason.

I think IMVU needs to have more security in place, worry less about the adults, and more about the majority of their audience - the teens. Because the moment someone finds out that their daughter was *** and killed because she was talking to a man who she thought was a boy her age on IMVU, they're going to lose sponsorships, they're going to lose members, and the government WILL get involved. You can't stop all the trashy looking clothes that developers make, but you can stop the 45 year old men from signing up and looking at cartoon ****.

I agree with you but also there is alot that say 18,19 20 and up but they are minors as well.just like there are minors with ap pass and that has not been fixed.i have minors come to my maternity and ask hey how can i get pregnant or say can i get an abortion.what the hell.this is just my opioon but a person has a mind, alot people need to use the brain they got and do something call ignore alot of these ass-holes.and thise people who are old enough to be parents of alot of these teens, need to find something better to do then date minor.myearbook is ok but i think exchanging currency should be gone .imvu is turning into myspace and the only thing that i thijnk will make them change is if they ened up in the media and was sued.when i first started i was dating a few guys but i came to reality when my loaction was tracked and was almost killed.so i could understand your view.also imvu makes money of exchanging so i doubt if they try to get rid of itthey advertise the site on every website literally.but hey if you want help on trying to get this situated i can help you but ofc it takes more then one person to send a message across.
