Question about "Outfit Challenge'

so im still pretty new to this site and well, i've never really played around with the outfit challenge. i have a few questions ... so someone, pls help me.. ha, im so lost. :/

okay sooo ... lately i've been really interested in the outfit challenge.
but i don't know how to get my outfit to really stand out. while looking through other people's entries, i noticed most of them who are in 1st to, i donno maybe 100th place have really lovely backgrounds. some even use magic or some kindof of prop. my question is how do i get these backgrounds and/or magic? how do i get my person to move in a certain way - so that i can take a really good picture from a great angle? because the only place that i seem to only be able to take a picture from is in my IMVU Home and the background is just plain colors ... if anyway can help me, or give me some advice, i would greatly appreciate it! thanks so much Wink

I can understand why the outfit challenge interests you, but beware. It is pretty rife with cheating and many people have dropped out because of that. Having said that, I will help answer you questions as best I can.

You can buy backgrounds in the catalogue. See link below:

The cool poses you see the avi doing, are usually modelling poses, such as ones like this Poses

Join the group of DOC'ers (DOC = Daily Outfit Challenge) here and there on the group forum you can find lots of helpful tips.

you can take a picture in ANY room you load into your client, not just the white one you are using now. and you can change the room you use as default ANYTIME, you just have to be in your "room" tab, click on scenes, then click the "i" for information box in the top right corner of the icon of the room you would like to make your default, and a link will appear on the icon for you to click on to choose it as your default room. You can take otfit pics in ANY of your rooms. you will learn more and more ways to make your pictures even more wonderful as you practice Very Happy

Consider getting some ambient rooms, as well. Look for them in the catalog. They're rooms with special lighting effects that can really boost the quality of a picture.
