Alright the problem for me right now is that it makes most of my items not work. For example I put on Black Cool by Glow and it makes my avatar appear bald. Does anyone else have this problem?

They will not bring it back. It clearly states that due to BAND WIDTH...
Only the older music submitted prior to October will work.

409.20

ASUS P5KE-Wifi Deluxe, Q9450 @ 3.5 Ghz, 9800GX2@750/1875/1154 driving twin 24" monitors, 4 GB DDR2 9200.

Win XP Pro SP3, Nvidia 182.6 Drivers, Direct X and Flash up to date.

Avast Home, Spyware Blaster and Spybot Search and Destroy running.

I had quite a job to get this one installed.

The streaming downloads were very slow, the program taking nearly 9 minutes to install.

It isn't my broadband, which is registering a downstream of 5.6 MBPS.

Now that the file is 14 MB in size, this slow speed could represent an issue for people wanting to download the client.

I tried my usual trick of downloading the full installer as well, unfortunately the file keeps coming back as corrupted and will not install.

Finally managed to install using the streaming version, will report after using for a while.

Just out of interest, could IMVU suggest the best versions of Flash to be running in order for all IMVU to work at its optimum?

I'd be intrigued as to whether the version of Flash has an effect on the way everything works.

Same goes for the drivers, in fact.

Does it make any difference at all as to which versions of Forceware or Catalyst we are running on our machines?

I'd really be interested to know.

It would be nice if the pre-October music did work; sadly, an increasing amount of it doesn't, which has now been happening through several major versions of IMVU. I have brought this to public attention a number of times, as have many, many others, and there is yet no response to this well-known and reported bug from anyone on Staff.

I will continue to do so, in the hopes that IMVU's promise that previously-working pre-cutoff music will once again work in an upcoming version. It's a major bug that affects a lot of people who have spent plenty of real money on real credits to buy the products, and I remain hopeful this will be addressed with openness and candor.

My music continues to work in all versions, I am having no problems. I believe it is how well your comp can handle the updates. I noticed that the music does lag for a few secs before it plays, some of it works right away but none have been cut off to 20 secs.

HERE is a topic that Jami (IMVU Staff) made regarding the Triggerless Music not working previously...Perhaps if you posted about it there, an Engineer might be able to work better on getting this issue fixed.

ok at least im not the only one having invisible issues. No matter what version i run it still makes me offline after about 20 minutes. I am still loaded in my room but i cannot see the other persons bubbles, so i have to restart imvu and then in 20 minutes do it all over again. I have sent numerous help tickets and every solution they tell me to try, I have already done prior to their response. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS WHY THIS HAPPENS??????? it is rather annoying to reboot after 20 minutes.

WINDOWS SYSTEN: VISTA HOME BASIC
PC ACER LAPTOP ASPIRE5515
AMD ATHALON PROCESSOR 2650e 1.60GHz

Your Operating System: Vista Home preium
Version of your IMVU Client:409.12
Version of your Previewer Client:Unsure can't locate
How much Ram on your computer: 1024 MB whih translate to 894 Mb as Actual
The exact error message you are receiving (if any):Error meesage besides the a white screen says nothing asking for info.
Did you run any Operating system updates recently, and when: yes today but was having these problems sense Mid January!
What type of Firewall/Antivirus program are you using?: Windows Firewall which is in the off postion.

We need a step by step instruction on what you did before this happened:
Before all this happen I did nothing once it accord I was doing disc clean up Disk Defragment back up and restore whole system uninstall and reinstall at least twice for that had problems with timing out while trying to reinstall or update or down grade. I removed a second version of 397.0 that I had to give me more space. I update my abode flash player not sure if it is the current one or not and this actually help me see the pic of other imvu members on my homepage and in the groups. But I still have the trouble of 6% loading and nothing changing any room that is not my default will not load and I get what I call the white screen of death very similar to the blue screen of death that windows 95 and 98 were famous for. I can not load many items at all so what ever outfit I come into my room I am stuck with at the moment. Also I haven't check yet today but pictures of the catalogs or my wish list when editing I can not see pictures of.

You should also reproduce your own steps to make sure it can be reproduced. Anyone who can also reproduce can add some validity to the report. No offense why should I have to reproduce all those steps yet again when I had troubles doing those steps in the first place. Especially sense I can't control the timing out issue when trying to down load different versions?

Idea
If you have a Standart 3D Graphic Card like the ATI Radeon or a Nvidia GeForce then the best Option is allways D3D because the Chip and Driver is Optimized to do D3D Rendering.
Idea
If you have a Workstation Graphic Card like the ATI Fire GL or a Nvidia Quaddro then the best Option is Open GL because the Chip and Driver is Optimized to do Open GL Rendering.

Idea
If you have a simple Onboard Graphic Chip thats not capable to do Hardware accelleration then you have to choose Standart Graphics.

using OpenGL on a Standart 3D Graphic Card or D3D on a Workstation Graphic Card only slows down your possible speed.
