Nice going!!
ill link your page in my tut site in next update for sketchup users! ^_^
only sugesgion i can make is lower the sensativity to the camera tilting sideways, not many times will u need to do so and it could make it hard to make things hard to judge where the position is
only other sugesgion i can think of is when is the second bone set getting put in there for couples poses! -gets very hopful when being cheeky -
Brilliant work Deliverance i hope u keep it up !!! this will help hufly, its user friendly, its got a fun springy animation to make it look more usable when things are re set, lol to its eyes all grait! ^_^ so very well done! _________________

It's explained in the first post, but there's so much info there that it can be easy to not be able to find it. So I'll just tell you that part here so you don't have to look for it.
You make your pose with the tool. Then click on the button that says "save." That will copy all the info into your "clipboard."
Open up the program called Notepad and press Ctrl+V (or click on "edit" and then on "paste"). That should paste all the info into notebook. Then save it as a .xaf file.
If nothing happens when you try to paste it, maybe try clicking on the save button in the pose tool again? _________________ |

Sorry I wasn't able to help more. I hope you figure it out.
I tried to google stuff about copy and paste not working, and I found something that says something about Flash 10 sometimes not working with copy and paste. I'm not sure if it applies but I'll paste it here just in case
http://groups.google.com/group/Snipurl/web/copy-to-clipboard-not-working
Also, I see that I said "notebook" at least once when I meant to say Notepad. Make sure you use notepad, not something else. _________________ |

Hey guys - many thanks for all your kind comments =)
@neo: Thanks for linking me! Regarding your suggestion about the camera tilting sideways, simply toggle the 'zoom' switch, and the view will always remain horizontal =) With this zoom switched off, the avatar is easy to rotate to see it from any angle, and my idea is that this should help when you have to fiddle with the small bones of the hands etc. Moreover, you can always click 'reset view' (or use a keyboard shortcut such as Shift+F) to instantly twirl the view back to level-front-on.
The other suggestion you make about adding a second skeleton for couple poses is in the pipeline, time permitting etc. My idea is to take advantage of the flash widget capability in the IMVU client, and make a couch for this purpose. When you sit in a seat, the tool will appear and you can make a couple pose on your own. But if two lovebirds sit on the couch, they will be able to manipulate the bones of the skeletons and make their own custom couple poses. Can I get an 'awww'? Thing is, I need to figure out how to send the rotation/translation information between clients using IMVU's WidgetEventData class. Hrmmm...
@JaydaRain: DreamMint has explained what you needed to know. In point 10 in the original post I've added a link so people can download a blank xaf file. Good luck and do let me know if you publish a product using this tool. There *is* a lot of info in the first post, and admittedly it's more like a manual than a tutorial, but I like to think that's because it just has plenty of features that need documenting. As you've doubtless discovered, the easiest thing is just to play with it and look something up when you need clarification.
@DreamMint: Many, many thanks for helping people out with this. I appreciate it greatly. Thank you.
Regarding the copy-to-clipboard deal in Flash, you're right that things changed between Flash 9 and Flash 10, but that won't affect this tool. In a nutshell, Flash 10 requires some 'user interaction' to access the clipboard, whereas Flash 9 could/can do it without the user knowing. Since in this Animator tool you have to actually click a button to copy the xaf to the clipboard, there's no problem. Incidentally, I hear that Flash 10 has the ability to save files directly on the user's computer, so I'll probably add that capability in the future, and do away with the copy/paste stuff.

I had wondered if this tool could be used in the IMVU client since it's flash. I hadn't thought of your idea for using it for couples poses. That would be awesome. You have an amazing mind.

Yeah, I just had no idea why it didn't seem to be pasting for her. I know nothing about flash, so maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that part, since I didn't know what I was talking about.
But now I learned something new about Flash too.
Thanks so much Deliverance, this has been awesome. _________________ |

omg, this is perfect!!! I once did some poses with the other free tool, but they didn't turn out as good as I wished.. this one indeed seems more biological.. and more options as well! *aplauds* _________________
