ROTTEN'S TUTORIALS

I am a person that likes to help others so I made this thread and hopefully it will help many people out there. :D.

I will make a tutorial every few weeks, maybe days, whenever I get the time. All I ask is that you follow the rules...

RULES-
1.] Any questions are to be posted HERE, and not as a PM or on my page.
2.] Help each other out, if you understand something really well, and someone else doesn't, help them out. :D
3.] Be kind
4.] Requests / Suggestions for upcoming tutorials are accepted
5.] I have the right to decline any tutorial requests
6.] Please be patient if I do accept a tutorial request as tutorials take time as I have to explain every single thing I do and take pictures to as I go along

ADD BLUSH TO YOUR SKIN:

1.] Open up your .PSD file of your skin.
2.] Create a new layer "Shift + Ctrl + N" and name the Layer "Blush".

3.] Zoom in onto your face to 500%
4.] Select the color of the desired blush [for purposes if this tutorial, I will be using #f85a7c]
5.] Select the Brush Tool and set it to 10px - 15px depending on how much blush you want.
6.] Make one, single, slightly curved stroke just under the eye of your skin.

7.] Copy the "Blush" layer "Ctrl + J" and align it underneath the other eye.

8.] Flip the second "Blush" layer horizontally. "Edit ---> Transform ---> Flip Horizontal"

9.] Select the two "Blush" layers and merge them
10.] Apply a Guassian Blur "Filter ---> Blur ---> Guassian Blur" and apply the radius anywhere from 4.6 - 7.8, depending on how much blush you want.
11.] Your image should look like:

12.] In the previewer, with a shadowless room it looks like:

I hope this tutorial will help others
:]

It's mainly a tutorial for newbies. :33. More tutorials for newbies will be submitted, like "eyeshadow shine" etc..
Got any requests for others?

EYESHADOW AND SHINE:

1.] Open up the .PSD file of your skin.
2.] Zoom in til about 400%
3.] Create a new layer "Shift + Ctrl + N" and name it "Eyeshadow"

4.] Select the "Brush" tool and set it to 8px
5.] Make an upside down "U" at the top of one of the avatar's eyes with the brush

6.] Copy the "Eyeshadow" layer "Ctrl + J" and align it on the other eye

7.] Merge the two eyeshadow layers
8.] Create a new layer "Shift + Ctrl + N" and name it "Shine"

9.] Select the "Brush" tool and set it to 6px. Also, select the color #ffffff or white
10.] Draw a line right in the middle of the eyeshadow on both sides

11.] Set the "Shine" layer to "Soft Light"

12.] Make a copy of the "Shine" layer
13.] Merge the following layers: "Eyeshadow + Shine + Shine copy"
14.] If you followed the steps properly you should have something looking like:

15.] In the previewer, it should look like:

I hope this tutorial will help others

Totally awesome,
Do you smudge or lower the opacity of the eyeshadow at all?

I know what she meant, but I can't really do that, I'll try though. ;]. Let me just see how it looks before I start to make the tutorial. Very Happy

Nope, it tends to look squareish when I smudge it and there's no need to change the opacity UNLESS you want a more natural look. :]

Cool Beans. Smile
I usually dont smudge mine when I practice, but when I read others tutorials they smudge and blur the eyeshadow..and I have always wondered...is it really needed to?

In my opinion, it is really unnecessary and stresses out the person taking the tutorial. I remember doing one and they said that I had to make the curve, smudge, blur, smudge again, make another copy and in between steps they were saying that if you do this, such and such would happen and then some tra la la about when they now started, I just gave up on it. My tutorials, I design them for people like myself, who like to get straight to the point, as clearly as possible, without the unnecessary jibber jabber in between. :].

...I think later, I'll make a Nails tutorial and a Tattoo tutorial.
Oh, and DEFINITELY, you guys can count on a glitter tutorial and a lip and tongue piercings tutorial
;]
...but first I gotta bathe and eat...and pee...I really need to pee
LOL
I'll be back probably in the next couple of hours or so
:]
