my freind got her account hack and i was wondering if anyone know how she can get her account back.it will mean alot to her.plz help.  |

She must contact IMVU. She needs to give them information on the email account she used to sign up and other things. I'm trying to remember who to contact but she can try nino@imvu.com and clare@imvu.com . I don't think Clare fixes it but she's good at sending you to the person who can.

if she got the account hack that means some one else knows the password of the imvu account and the email / password of the email account that she use to open the imvu account.... the system is automatic, if she can still have access to the original e mail account she need to use that one to ask for help to imvu.. if she use another one they will not respond to it...
REMEMBER KIDS ONLY YOU NEED TO KNOW THE PASSWORDS.. don`t give to no one else.. some e mails I get ; they say "I want a lap top" but they want all my info LOL ;..... you can get your real life identity taken this way... how do you know who is on the other side.. if you don`t know the person in real life.. ..
Ps: to hack an account "they" need to change password . IMVU will send 2 emails one to the original e mail and one to the new one asking to verufy if you have made this change .... from there she can re send back asking for help.. is the only way imvu knows is your account..
I got my account hacked like a year ago....( not this account)

what she needs to do is to not give anyone her password.....when you first join they tell you GIVE NO ONE your password! she didnt liste so she got hacked!!

On metaRL.com you never put in your IMVU password. We give you a password to use for your metaRL.com site account.

Sorry to hear about your friends account. Like BrookefromBlight said, you need to have her get in contact with IMVU Staff. There really should be more/constant information provided about account security. Many times people will end up sharing their account passwords with a friend and it just goes bad from there. Number 1. is to NEVER give out your account password for anything, and use different passwords for different sites/games. |

Be careful with MetaRL.com.
Some of their contests require that you enter real personal or financial information. That's always a red flag for extra caution.
Plus, when you change your password on MetaRL to something else, DON'T change it to your IMVU password. Always give a different password to sites where you keep your own money or credits and sites you are visiting or want to win something from. While some of these sites are honest, some aren't, and you probably will never know which is which.

I contacted staff because I was concerned about the legitimacy of Metarl. My reply from Cliff:
