I figured GASR might be a good place to ask this, but if it belongs in OT sorry >.<

I recently got a new laptop, (Sony Vaio running Windows 7 32bit.) and i'm having trouble connecting my Bamboo pen and touch tablet with Gimp.

I downloaded the newest version of Gimp, and the drivers for my tablet, but Gimp won't recognise the tablet as an input device.

I can use both the pen and touch no problem, but when I try and draw anything, it comes out as a solid line, and I have to edit the opacity/size/etc the same as I would have to with the touchpad. When I go to the input devices menu it only shows 'Core pointer' which I presume is the touchpad, nothing else.

I aslo tried chaning the dynamics, but the grid/curve thingy that comes up I can't edit at all.

It worked fine with my old computer, could anybody give me some pointers on how to get it working on this one? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks (:

I would like to see what answers you'll get, 'cause I'm having the exact same problem with my tablet + gimp.

Oh! I managed to get it working (:

And Kati, I found that restarting gimp showed it on the input devices window, (Edit>Input devices) but for some reason the pen and eraser were disabled, so I changed those both to 'Screen', hit save for both, and i works perfectly now Very Happy
