i don't think anyone is listening to the whole issue at hand....
at least it doesn't feel that way....
una alla volta.....
Pls tell me you arent surprised by that fact Chicka..its quite obvious from the many posts..ppl are concerned how this will effect them..yet..as usual with the cryptic and vauge posts by IMVU..still NO RESOLUTION on the rest of the dev community and how this is going to effect us..typical
surprised no
understanding yes
i completely understand why IMVU staff must be biting their lip on this....
i just disagree with the cryptic BS....

I guess i also feel bad she has so much work to do - its nice to see IMVU sympathizes with her plight.

Umm..what do you mean work??? She has a little sweatshop of devs working for her..in no time..she'll have all the prices changes I'm sure..
all the more reason i can't understand why it should take very long if she understands it needs to be done...it should just get done swiftly and with an enforced time frame in place...
maybe it has been requested that she abide by the clock....
who knows around here.... _________________

it is just as hard to hide products as it is to change the prices, the same screen and all you know, if it was that simple, she could change the prices just as quick as changing it to hidden. _________________
what will happen to all the people that have derived and set their prices too low?
do they get refunds?
if they choose not to sell at the higher price?
I would think so.
A big announcement should be made if you can't script the items back to normal _________________ Na na Nana Hey Hey Hey... Goose bye!

It didn't take her long to change them in the first place and with 50 some odd employees I would expect she could do this in a timely fashion.
Could you define normal since normal didn't appear to be working.
On another note, I would as a customer, like to know what interests does the aforementioned company/person have with imvu, pertaining to the global currency linking with SL, IMVU and Eutopia and what connection other than developing this company has with IMVU. Are they stockholders or partners?
Since I have never seen this asked directly before and I feel it is important enough to warrant a simple yes or no answer. _________________
I dont see how this solves what disaster she has already created....
I mean losing pro is one thing but leaving all her products still in her catalog over the weekend knowing that ppl will still derive from them at a lower price is irresponsible.
Or purchasing items.
I mean geez can we get a proper solution here besides a slap on the wrist and given good graces to change her stuff back...also how does she know what all her original prices were?
How do we know she isnt gonna either change them back to the wrong price or over price them.
~page~
I've just chosen to hide anything derived from her. I don't want to support a developer that would do this to her customers. _________________

Sorry, I am not all this familiar with what is going on. Does this mean I just lost out on 30,000 credits in derivation fees and submission from deriving from her products and I have to redo every single one? This person or persons should be hung up by the feet and beaten with a stick. I am shocked that a pro could get away with this kind of behaviour. I sure hope they have to give everyone restitution for all this trouble! I have all my products hidden until this is straightened out.
Wow this is really gonna throw a monkey wrench in my sale I was having this week
What a disaster. You are telling us that all those who lowered their prices to accomodate her "sale" now have to go back through their catalog and reprice them...but they wont know when cause who knows when she will get it done...
Not sure how this exactly fixed anything to be honest. I still see pissed dev and a total disaster.
~page~
Yeah I agree. I lowered the prices of my derivations to compensate and now I will have to go back and change them again.
and IMVU still has yet to answer whether it is ok for her to resubmit the same derivable products again at the lower price. If she does that it will add insult to injury. She might as well leave these products to what she changed them to. We shouldnt have to pay twice to derive fromt he same product in the catalog. That is Bullchit!!! _________________

Since IMVU has not addressed all the issues I am just going to keep reposting my previous questions and adding new ones:

UPDATE
We have been working with ACS (Anshe) about resolving this matter appropriately.
ACS (Anshe) will be going through all the products that have been changed and revert them back to their original prices (not an easy task).
Imvu will be fixing the bug by this Friday. Next week things should be back to normal.
Thank you all for your patience.
Sincerely,
Nino Cavenecia

*arch an eyebrow*
Are the products to be hidden while this occurs?
What is the timeline for the completetion of the repricing?
One shouldn't benefit from an exploit.
Additionally, what about all the people that dev'd from this exploit? (It's a bug if it's not used, once it's used it is an exploit of the system)
Will ACS be compensating the devs that derived from her lower priced products (a la the AP/Mature item compensation theory)
I'm sorry, Nino. This affects the ENTIRE dev community and your reply does not address those issues.
*Mod hat way the %#@&! off*
I find the "sympathy" for the amount of work it will take to reprice inappropriate and offensive. It was an exploited bug. It appears to be a known business stradegy which failed. No sympathy is warranted. _________________

Girl, I tried to tell you and some of the other developers about this in my pm's I sent out. This is really an outrage as to what one person can do to an entire community. So, please people, don't come to all of us, developers that derived from these products, we had no idea what this person/ or persons was going to do. If you have a complaint about it, please direct it in a PM to that person and not us. We didn't cause the high prices, we were treated just as unfairly as you. Again, Please direct your complaints to the person that caused this, not us. We have no control over their actions. I, personally, am appalled that this has been allowed to happen and I know for a fact if you stay up all night, your prices can be changed in a single night by one person. I have over 1200 products and I have done this all by myself. So, there should not be any excuses.
I hate to say this to some of my friends, but "I Told You So". Thanks to those that did believe in what I was saying and stood with me through this. To the others, I can only say I'm sorry it happened to you. This is just my personal opinion, so please don't delete it. Hugs, love and candlelight to all! Seriously though. This person is still a "pro" and is talking about resubmitting products for cheaper so we will all have to rederive the same products again.
What kind of fecal matter is that? That is completely insane! _________________

well she`s still a PRO mmnn well i guess now we know not all of us, are equal ......... I don`t really care if she is a pro honest but... what is that tell you the holder of that title is not what I use to think ...is sad
let's see, Goose told people about a bug you could exploit, he didn't use it, and got his pro status taken away. this person actually exploited the bug and stays pro. what am I not seeing here? _________________
