I sent "the developer in question" a pm about this and I am waiting for a response because I made a sticker with that pose. So does that mean that I have to set that sticker to restricted? ugh what a pain
Nobody has answered my question yet, and its very important. I don't want to get reported for something stupid like this
I personally don't see a problem with your sticker....You just have to do what you feel is right tho....Leave it as it is and run the risk of it being made restricted later, or change it now... _________________

There is about 1000 products in our catalog that have been derived from. We plan to re-upload each product one by one at low price and make it derivable, then switch the price of the original product back up to where it was before price change and hide the old product.
I know this means some trouble for people who derived, because basically you have to reupload your derived products and derive from the new, cheaper version to take advantage of better price. I really wanted to avoid this inconvenience, but now the peace in the developer community I consider very important. Rightfully or not, some people became upset, so I think it is my responsibility to listen and remove their worries, even if it means some additional work.
Of course we will make sure there is no problem with derived from products while we do this. To make this change to more than 1000 products is going to be slow process though, especially when deal with the slow network in China.
What does this mean for you?
1. The products you bought will not be effected
2. Nice price products will still be available. If you see something from us with old high price accidently or temporarily show in the catalog, then please don't buy it.
3. If you derived, then it is best to keep your product price at the old, higher price level from before we reduced our price, and wait until we upload the cheaper version so that you can derive from that
4. If you work on new derived products, I suggest you wait some days before you upload the product so that you can derive from the new permanently low priced original product
I especially feel sorry for the deriving developers. You did many nice products and now all this becomes confusing and you will need to spend some time to actually take advantage of the lower mesh price. I hoped this could be avoided. Anyway, I am 100% confident that after this change your sales will grow much and it will really have been worth it for you
Please everybody don't flame me. I really try to listen here and at ACS we will put in crazy amount of extra work.
I am finding it difficult to even begin this post. First of all... I am supposed to be a partner -- yet you did not mention the price lowering or this new re-pricing to me. I have a lot of items in the catalog that were derived from your products. In making these hasty decisions -- you have now left me with two options 1) having overpriced items or 2) having to re-make all of these items -- which not being a pro developer -- this will cost me submission fees -- which I will have to pay. This will be an enormous effort -- for us "partners". I cannot and will not pay to rederive this stuff. I believe you should pay your partners however much it cost to rederive all this stuff -- with some extra for our efforts. Do you realize how much time this is going to take us to do this?
This was irresponsible, rude and completely out of line. I am so angry. I have defended you time and time again. I've been flamed for being your partner and been told that people would not buy from me because of your banner being on my page. I've even had people delete me from their buddy list. I've bought almost everything you've put out -- and derived from a lot of it as well. I have refused to believe the rumors -- demanded evidence... argued against the evidence -- all for you. Now... this is what being a loyal partner gets in return?
I believe you should pay for each and every item I've ever derived from you -- and will have to rederive if I want it to stay in my catalog after this irresponsible decision. I am in shock. I don't even know what to say. This is an unacceptable solution. You chose to have this price frenzy -- therefore I think it is only right that you choose to deal with the backlash. The issue the developers have with you in this sale... is that the prices will edge them out. How is this solution going to help? You are proposing to resubmit these items -- at the lower price. This does not help the other developers -- it merely screws those of who derived from you and would have to re-derive -- paying twice as much. It is completely irresponsible and RUDE of you to put it off on those of us who derived from you -- and supported you -- without adequate compensation; without even discussing any of this with us. I want reimbursement for every submission fee -- and derivation fee.

No hun..if you hide your products..they dont disappear from ppls inventory..its only if IMVU diables the product for use..just means anyone who has the product wishlisted..will have it removed from their wishlist..
So the customers are safe as long as she is not disabled? OK, I feel a lot better. I really would hate to have customers negatively affected by this. They are already reeling from that "other" problem.
Even if people are disabled their items stay in the catalog very often. Take for instance yanhu.. he was disabled.. or disabled himself.. nobody knows.. but anyway his items are still there. It wouldn't be fair to costumers if some dev made a mistake and loads of their items would all of a sudden be gone. So as long as these items don't break any rules they usually stay.
Also.. @ Megla: thanks for adding your costumer's point of view glad to hear from you

And what about the devs that derived from the lower prices, will they all be informed that the price has now gone back up? Not everyone reads the forums and some new devs may not even realise this is happening.

Wow this is really gonna throw a monkey wrench in my sale I was having this week
What a disaster. You are telling us that all those who lowered their prices to accomodate her "sale" now have to go back through their catalog and reprice them...but they wont know when cause who knows when she will get it done...
Not sure how this exactly fixed anything to be honest. I still see pissed dev and a total disaster.
I dont see how this solves what disaster she has already created....
I mean losing pro is one thing but leaving all her products still in her catalog over the weekend knowing that ppl will still derive from them at a lower price is irresponsible.
Or purchasing items.
I mean geez can we get a proper solution here besides a slap on the wrist and given good graces to change her stuff back...also how does she know what all her original prices were?
How do we know she isnt gonna either change them back to the wrong price or over price them.
i don't think anyone is listening to the whole issue at hand....
at least it doesn't feel that way....
una alla volta.....
Pls tell me you arent surprised by that fact Chicka..its quite obvious from the many posts..ppl are concerned how this will effect them..yet..as usual with the cryptic and vauge posts by IMVU..still NO RESOLUTION on the rest of the dev community and how this is going to effect us..typical
well I will believe it when I see them change
although it takes time it doesn't take all day
so yea I think they should be hidden in the meantime.
too many unknowing devs can derive and et their prices low and may have no wishes to sell them at the old higher prices, which is going to cause more resentment.
but at least its a move in the right direction
