The field of war is littered with the smoldering remains of recently slain combatants, while the ackrid smog of war lingers in the air; the reek of burnt flesh and equipment.

Collapsed hulks of disabled battlemechs lay strewn about the final engagement as the last of the ground forces are committed to the battle, their dropships streaking from clouds under the flaming sky as the opposing battle-fleets exchange salvos in orbit; a strategic pirouette of jump ships, battlecruisers, and destroyers jockying for position over the scant few landing zones on this doomed world.

"It is finished." The visage of the Emperor, his voice from the heavens, shines upon the elite legion of his finest troops prepared to kill and die in this final push to crush the last of the Miscellanian rebels.

"There will be no surrender. No prisoners. None left alive. The rendered carcasses of their ships will be cast into the local sun, their dessicated corpses converted to biomass. Kill them all!"

The Imperial March plays in the background...

*sigh* At times like this, I wish everyone had Xbox Live for this battle between Misc and OT. That would have been quite the interesting battle. Afterwards posting the results of who won, hehe.
