|
|
I need to know how to make a twinkle star effect? This is for a opacity image (like 09 animated) that has a solid image (like 10)under it within creator mode? The twinkle effect will be a over lay to the first image (mesh creation).
I am using a 512x512 for the solid 1st image. This will be constant and has a star field background around the center picture.
I have filter forge so it is easy for me to get stars that will mix up for the second image. I just cannot seem to get the animation correct. I thought to use 4 256x256 images that have the stars mixed up, then cycle it. I was using PID # 812641 as far the animation example settings.
If I could have some help it would be so appreciated.

It would help us if we knew what product you were deriving from. It sounds like you want to make a basic animated texture. But depending on the product you are using it may be possible to get a twinkle effect from single white pixels in a black background. Once again it comes back to what product are you deriving from and what texture in it are you trying to make twinkle. _________________ |

If you have your 4 images (256x256), arrange them in a 512x512 square in this pattern:
1 2
3 4
This will help you with animating. Frames/cell is how fast you will be cycling through your image. The higher the number, the slower the image (which I actually just found out). Cell width and height, in your case, will be 256x256, and make sure your number of cells is 4.
If you ever do more cycling, feel free to play around with that. _________________ Click here to read Smoked Mirror vol. 7! |

Thank you both for your help so very much. So appreciated
OK so here are the images, there are two separate images in the creator mode of this PID.
Image I want to use for item 12 in creator mode. It presently does have a star field bg. I tried it both with the same star cycle image (256x256 made into 512) and also just a main star field:
And here is the animated image which is item 13 that should have the cycling twinkle animation:
Here is the view of the two as they appear in the creator mode:
^As you can see image 12 is behind image 13.
I have done animation before in paint shop pro (my banner header for my product pages) but this is stumping me bad. Help would be appreciated so very much as if I learn this I might use it in other creations for my catty if I can find meshes that have similar layouts.
KurosakisTwin I did try your suggestions. It is good to know the lower the number makes the animation faster within the frames/cell portion of the animation. But something still is awry as it did nothing but static and stay. Right now I have it scrolling down which is nice. But a twinkle effect for me would be more desirable. _________________

Edit: When choosing this option, your texture (if larger) will be scaled until the larger side (or both sides) is 256. So, if you plan on cycling a 16-cell 512x512, your size will be 64x64 (and NOT 128x128).
Whether this is a bug or not is a mystery to me. So, to be on the safe side, keep your textures at a maximum of 256x256.
Double edit: 256x512 DOES work. Just tested it. _________________ Click here to read Smoked Mirror vol. 7!

You can't use a 512x 512 image, Create Mode is resizing it for you to a 256, that is why the math is not working.
Either change to a 512x256, 256x512, or a 256x256 layout.

Keef's tut is great... that's where I learned about animating textures. I made a tut that sorta goes along with that one Here.
After you size your animation down keep in mind you will use the mask in every frame so don't change that layer in your photo editor. It should be copied to the exact same spot in each frame. You will just apply the different stars in the background similar to how the shorts keep the folds and details but the hearts change in each. _________________ |
