Moved to where you'll get more answers on 3d devving.
From what I know about 'reflective' meshes is you have to clone and flip your objects/walls and what not and place them under the floor and make your floors semi-transparent.

every one want videos now, ck your tube.
I want a magic button on max like chief architect does so whit one click i can make shoes or a full dress...lol
but if you know how to make the room, is not very hard to clone it and flit it outside down, you can use other ways depending on your program and how good you know how to used it but this is the easies one and on the floor add an opacity so you get the mirror effect. _________________

By turning your room upside down
I use 3ds so i would expect sketch up to be similar, you need to clone the room itself, then rotate and move it underneath the original room.
From there you add opacity in the floor panels in the creator and tick blending. There you go
But if you are wanting something more "Realistic" like i have here:
http://www.imvu.com/shop/product.php?products_id=12030656
Then after you have followed the above, make a new box without the top polygon and cover the outside of the cloned room only. Move the box to fit the room as close as you can, set that as a new material and in the previewer set it as only a pure black texture... and there you have it

Is there a thing like 'Mirror' or 'Symmetry' in SU? In Max, select all, add a Symmetry Modifier, select gizmo to Z and voilla. _________________

I don't think it has, a friend uses sketch up and always does it manually. -shrugs- _________________

Getting the Mirror Copy in SketchUp is simple. You complete the Model and Save it as A Component. Then you remove the Floor and form it back into a Group or Component, Tell SkecthUp to Flip it on the Z Axis, lower the thing down till it's at the right level and then Import the Room Component you Saved in the First Step. Hey presto a Mirrored Room in less time than it takes to make a cuppa or to Search for the Ruby Plugin that will do it all for you. _________________

Is there a Video somewhere on how this works ? the reason for the video is because some people learn different than others some can read instructions and soak it up like a sponge .. others need to actually put there hands in the learning process.. and people like me actually need a visual before they understand how something actually works ..
Thank you everyone for the Advise .. and tiger i will try and fallow your steps and see as i mention i am still new to sketch up and actually made my first 2 rooms. yesterday .. i am actually very proud of my work but i would like to take it a step further. maybe even one day make furniture if possible in sketch up witch i am sure it is .
Again thank you again and if anyone made a simple video please let me know thanks |

Simplest way to learn ... forget rooms ...
make a cube with no bottom
texture it so you can see which way up it is
make it a group
click "edit" tab and then "copy"
click "edit" tab and then "paste in place"
right click your cube - "Flip Along" - "Group's Blue"
use the move tool to grab it by a top corner
slide it downwards until it snaps to the same upside down corner
Now repeat this but with a room, add a floor with opacity and you're done. _________________

It's just drawing in 3D basically without all the complicated steps of 3Dmax, of course you can't do as much in it as Max but it's a fast learning curve and also it's fun like a game, working out ways to do things clean and quickly _________________
