Update: WINNERS have been announced. Congratulations all.....
Are you ready to celebrate the holiday season? IMVU's community loves the holidays and we love to share the joy of the season with you. Our virtual catalog is already brimming with holiday-themed clothes, accessories and of course loads of furniture items to deck your halls with!
Decorate your IMVU rooms to the hilt and make it a cozy or crazy welcoming place for your friends and family to visit. Then take a picture – a high resolution one, thanks to our latest photo tools – and post it to this community forum for all to envy and enjoy.
We are, of course, making this into a fun contest to keep your competitive spirits challenged! There are credit prizes to win for the best entries – but most importantly, the honor to brag about your decorating style.
Submissions will be accepted through December 16th and winners will be announced on December 20th.
Contest Guidelines and Selection Criteria:
--Contest entry period begins today, December 2nd and will end on December 16th.
--All content must be General Audience (GA) appropriate
--Images must be no larger than 500 x 500.
- Images *do not* have to contain any avatars, but they must be taken from the IMVU client.
--Only one submission per person
--All submissions will be judged by IMVU staff based on creativity, and uniqueness, of the decor as well as quality of the photo
--Winners will be announced on Tuesday, December 20th
Prizes:
1st place - 50,000 credits
2nd place - 25,000 Credits
3rd place - 15,000 credits
Have fun and be creative! We are excited to watch what our community comes up with!

Does this have to be an "IMVU" room or any room that is sold in the Catalog on IMVU? Also, can we edit the picture or does it need to stay in it's original form? I just want to make sure I have the specifics so I can get started

Any room sold in the catalog is fine.
Editing the picture (photoshopping) is okay.

Photos taken through IMVU can be found in your IMVU gallery, simply choose the photo you wish to submit right click and click view image. This will open the image in your browser so you can copy the image's link. Next come back to this post and paste the image's link in between of the image tag bb code.

Before posting, ensure that the image is not exceeding the forum limit of 500X500 pixel, if it is you need to resize it and upload it through an image hosting site eg photobucket, imageshack and etc.

You can use any room in the catalog, and you are allowed to edit the picture. |

************TIP to help with insanity of hosting your picture with IMVU **********
If you use ( *hiressnap ) to make the picture to your desktop just reduce it 25% hight/ width (that gives you 512/512) and then use properties to 500 / 500 ! This gives you very sharp picture !!!

Upload it into your IMVU picture gallery give it a name then use the download to desk top feature to get address

You have to take the best angle shot I guess, the rule says only one submission per person. |
