Art is now pointless. There is no way to get a decent edited image into the DP with only 160x20 pixels to play with. There is now no longer any way to even display the images on my HP unless I laboriously code all of them into one of the few remaining panels, but I am NOT going to waste my time adding codes when there is no way to predict which will be the next panel that IMVU decides to axe.

IMVU seems to have decided that those of us who prefer website activities to the client are of no value whatsoever.

I hope I'm wrong in my prediction that by this time next year we won't have homepages- just another tabbed window in the client mocked up like a miniature homepage.

I'd be facepalming over just having given ideas but I'm sure it's already been on the drawing table in some form or other.

Don't know if I had any code in the panel or not. Need to have a look-see Rolling Eyes

Seriously?!? Why did you not let us know about this beforehand? Where was this "announcement" posted? On the stinking forum? Newsflash: Not everyone wastes time looking at the forum. Instead of sending me those damn messages about credit deals and your stupid contests, and surveys for feedback (as if you listen to us anyway) this is the type of thing you should inform us about via messages. You idiots seem intent on taking away all the useful features of the homepage and keep crap like "cool new people"! I had stored the direct link to my album anyway already. And I had my gallery hidden because it contains ap pictures as well. I only hope they will NOT REMOVE this feature from the site all together.

IMVU should have send the message around, not only post it on a forum. When it comes for IMVU to earn some dollars, they spam you with all kinds of messages. But when it comes to site and client related issuses.... They hardly do. I can count them on one hand.

Ah, I found the answer already to the question why? ...

Messages posted on the forums are done by the mods who don't cost money. Messages send by IMVU is done by an employe of IMVU and there fore it costs money to do so.

you can use a marquee code to make a picture gallery that scrolls sideways, or up, or down, similiar to those that some pic galleries have available, and as many devs use for their scrolling banner links that they have their favorite devs advertized in. I know its not the same, but you can still use the images in your IMVU gallery to display your lovely art that way. I hope that helps some of you feel better. I do feel the pull on my heartstrings as our homepages seem to be drifting away from us. I know my opinion doesnt matter, but I agree with the avi who posted that things should be taken away from the client and put back on the website to keep the client as lite as possible.....so it can be enjoyed as a virtual world for avatars and devs alike....... instead of a multipurpose, squeeze in everything client. There is always the inevitable, be it ever so remotely in the future, when the client could break down completely for a while.....and as it is now, at least we know we have the web pages where we can browse and plan what we want to do when the client gets fixed. There is a little feeling of security in that for all of us ....but what do I know? Sad

Well, well. Removing more, arent we? What are next on the removing list? Let me give you an idea what to remove, the stupid Make friends/Meet new people. Honestly, why are you removing things that people actually use and stick some annoying new sh*t in our throats? Dont get me wrong, its nice that you actually want to do change things, but why not focus on the issues that many of us have? Example, the never ending line is annoying glitches and bugs in the client.
But sure, we are just the users, so we dont have much of a saying, hm? Is it that hard to ask us what we would like to have and what to remove? I see a lots of posts here in the forums by mods, why not a simple poll on suggestions of improvements? Just an idea of course, but like most of the other ideas, I guess it belong in the trash bin.. -sighs-
