I'm not sure which chat log I missed but the initial incident had to do with a friend discussing Calamity Jane and this particular player said that since they were a Texan they were raised to believe a woman should know her place and shouldn't try to be a man...
This offened three female role players who were playing men and one of which was a Texan. |

I love playing my females but its sad because I cant play a male at all they all end up being so homosexual that its not funny I even had one in a dress on another site. I am female but I know many females that play males and males that play females and most of them do a better job, I think because the men know what a man wants so they try not to be all tears and lovey lovey while the women know what a female wants so they dont play the sexist male. I need to start playing men more that way I can at least practice...But having no credits left since i bought all female clothes i have to do it on paper.
IamCountDracula- Oh my I would so have been more than mad and probably would have gotten myself banned yelling at that fool. sorry I know its probably how they are raised but still thats such a foolish way of thinking. Plus I did not know you are a girl dumb of me to think that you are what you play gender wise I have many friends that would have yelled at me for that. |

I think sexism, unfortunately is a two way street. It's femalism or malkism. It's sexism, meaning a bias against a particular gender.
Sometimes a woman can be sexist against men and this will make it hard for her to play one and sometimes a man can be sexist against women and this is what makes it hard for a male to play a woman. I think the trick is not to look at the other gender like it's some alien species but to treat it like another of your own gender. The only thing you have to look out for is the character's sexual orientation. For the most part, aside from what society imposes on us, we think the same way. |

I wonder what gender I am then? BOTH genders just baffle me.
Men...I just..Some are normal and I get on with them well, but it took like years of insults for me to understand they are humorous. I like it when some here just randomly jump on each other a beat each other up. I want to join in! xD
Again, women. Many are normal and easy to talk to but i've had many a baffling conversation about spray tans and body glitter and footy.
-sees girl put on layers of tan, body glitter, eye makeup, lip stuff, hair dye hair spray fake eyelashes fake chest-
You know you're prettier without it...right?
"its for accentuating the good stuff" (fake chest implied))
This girl, without it has chestnut brown hair, thin, healthy, and a bright natural face.
With, she's a sparkling blonde tangerine with a mask on.
I'm not sexist, males and females both confuse me equally. xD
Everyone is different regardless of gender. |

On this site, yes I roleplay a female but on another site I roleplay a male.
To me anyways, most people judge my female characters as weak etc but with male characters I don't get judged and for the most part I'm ok at roleplaying the opposite gender.
Sometimes I don't like my own gender e-e but I try to do good with both characters, even though I don't roleplay much anymore (mainly due to a lot of good rooms being 18+ T~T)
I don't mind playing either gender and I don't care if someone else is playing the opposite gender, some people are better at a opposite gender then their own gender. _________________

Lets not forget those men that play girls on Imvu...
That decide, oh hey, you know what makes me a more convincing female? If I wear next to nothing and give my avi HUGE tracks of land.
If it's hot, it must be true I guess. x.X |

*Snickers* I play a rogue on WoW and have done that multiples of times. "Trick of Trades" is an actual skill that allows you to do that.
ANYWAY! I find it irritating, considering I have this account, which is female and I am in RL. People expect me to be in a female character, when really, the RP I've been in more often lately, I prefer my male characters. It's a reason why I want the "prefer not to say" option for when someone puts their sex. -.- I could make another RP account but I have five deving accounts, I don't want to have to make more just for the sake of people not judging me for RP. x.x And, I don't like multi-account characters, not my cup of tea. I don't care if others do it, just not me, deving accounts are enough. |

Tonight someone attacked and "killed" (I voided the incident) "the woman calling herself Dracula."
Whoever sent this RP assassin clearly has issues against a woman playing male characters and I'm more offended about that than the actual assassination attempt. |

My guess is the person who sent her is someone who knows me and hates me. |

Perhaps they are just intimidated? I was sooo nervous when first meeting you in RP. xD |

So they send someone to autohit kill me? Good way to relieve intimidation... (that's sarcasm, by the way...) |

| If you're dead, you're not frightening? I don't know. My guess it was someone you had to tell off getting "Revenge" or something? |
