Sounds like a great idea. Love the concept. Lets hope the person who came up with the idea gets the proper credit.
Although there is a lot of portals already in the catalog. I take it the sales of those will probably take a large hit. _________________

| I can't get it to work either. I can click click on the portal tool when I try to make a piece of furniture a portal, and get the room list to come up, but it acts as though it doesn't save & the portal doesn't move me to the room I designated. |

YVW and I hope the next pre-release is out soon. Even CM is crashing on this version.
Gosh! that new portal icon looks suspicously like *points at N8*
Happy to play with it, Varsha, I am loving all the new things you're all doing. Keep up the good work!! _________________

Shouldnt they have permission to link to a different persons room ? |
I am reposting this, because it was never addressed. Do people have the option NOT to have their public rooms forcibly linked? This is definitely a feature that should have an opt out. Not everyone will want any ole tom, **** and harry to be able to have portals to their public rooms.
I would like an opt out please, or have ability to decline or accept when someone wants to have a portal to your room. _________________

portals have been available for ages, and are already well in use by many members. Why are you promoting this as a new thing? _________________

You know what is really sad.. there are hundreds of posts about the make new friends panel that IMVU has not bothered to respond to in days. And what does IMVU do? Instead of addressing known issues or even letting the community know that they give a flying leap they parade out new features AGAIN and guess what... Oh golly geee! SURPRISE!! Once AGAIN the features don't work they way they should.
Of course this wonderful new portal is supposed to make us all forget about the fact that IMVU ignores its users over and over as we all go gaagaa over this newest stink bomb.
And yes I'm sure my post will be removed.. gawd forbid anyone says something bad about IMVU in the first few pages of a thread.. After all IMVU staff only bothers to read the first few pages and then they ignore us.
Oh wait.. I better go prancing off to see how many more times IMVU can crash my computer, after all that what IMVU is all about.. crashing and frustration and being ignored by its staff and CS.. pffftttttttttttt _________________ ~Note to self... You are NOT allowed to kill stupid people~ |

| I do think it's wrong to link to other people's rooms without permission. Maybe they ought to have something that when you link to another room that you can't do it until the room owner approves. |

I thought we can only link our own rooms....if it can be done with any room then yes there should be a way to refuse or opt out of that definitely. _________________

| Finally, after all this time I am on IMVU, IMVU comes with something I really like. That is... I like the idea. Now lets see how IMVU will implement this. Why do I feel tons and tons of problems popping up when the new version is installed? I hope I'm wrong. |
