|
|
Update as of September 8, 2011
Thank you for all your feedback and comments regarding our recent announcement. In response to the concerns and questions raised by you all, we made a couple changes to the credit hold process:
1) Terminology
Instead of “Escrow,” we will be using the term “Credit Pend” going forward. All credits earned through purchase of virtual goods will be in “pend” status, or on hold, for a certain period of time (see pend schedule below) before being available for use or transfer.
2) Timing
The credit pend will begin on Monday, September 12, 2011 (for credits earned on or after that date). We will make a forum and Creator News announcement on that day and send a homepage message to all Creators.
3) Pend Schedule
If you signed up to be an IMVU Creator BEFORE September 12, 2011, your pend period will initially be one (1) day.
The pend period will gradually increase in weekly increments until all Creators have a 14-day pend period.
Credits earned between Sep 12 – 18 : Pended for 1 day
Credits earned between Sep 19 – 25 : Pended for 7 days
Credits earned on or after Sep 26 : Pended for 14 days
With this new schedule, assuming you earn credits every day, there will be two 1-week periods where you will not receive credits - Sep 20th-25th and Oct 3rd-9th. The credit income flow will resume as of October 10th with a 14-day delay between purchase of your product and delivery of earnings from that purchase to you.
If you sign up to be an IMVU Creator AFTER September 12, 2011, your pend period will begin with and stay at 14 days.
Thank you,

Ok, so we're going with 2 weeks instead of 30 days. I hope this actually works! _________________ "Thank you for your time. We look forward to delighting you in the future." -IMVU Inc.

Yay! ^.^ See everyone? We told you they listen.
*mod hat replaced*
So, to highlight the major changes once again, we have:
- 14 Day waiting period, not 30.
- New Name: Credit Pend
- Scheduled release date: Sept 12, 2011, with another announcement at that time
- Updated, clearer schedule
- Reiteration that ALL CURRENT CREATORS will gradually be implemented and will receive a decently steady cashflow which will regulate after 4 weeks (not 8 as with the 30 day plan) |

Two weeks yay.. however, with all the protests to have it kept the same as it is currently without any "Pond" or "Holds" ..... so many still simply don't agree and are either not buying credits, not developing any new meshes or products, and lastly are closing accounts.
Is this new updated 14 day system still in our best interest??? HMM _________________

Exactly, & either way it's happening, so we need to deal with it, we got 14 days, that is WAY better than 30 days imo =^.^= _________________

Looking forward to having this implemented so we can be rid of all those annoying products that we seem to be policing ourselves.
For all of those who are still considering quitting, while their loss will be noted, there will always be more people that come along, to fill the void.
Personally, I think IMVU is a great place to work and express myself freely, withing the bounds that are in place. _________________

Still too long for me. Escrow sounds like a scheme to rob us all from some credits, cus' if they won't show us our sales, how are we gonna know if were getting the correct amount of credits?
Still No to Escrow.
We should have the choice of playing apart of Escrow or not. _________________ ♫MarMar♫ツ
