Create and Manage up to 10 public rooms in the 3D Chat

So being ap and owning my name is no better than being a guest? I realize this whole thing is to get folks to buy vip but come on, this is so unfair on many levels

I have Cleared my cache ,deleted and reloaded IMVU nothing is working i still cant manage my public rooms and i know it's not my comp or internet i have room mates who are able to manage there rooms and i have also checked my other account and was able to manage public rooms on it but still cant on this one ..This is what i get every time .

Maybe it's a protocol problem. Leaving a room, the client is still connected and sends the appropriate state back to the server. That would be instant.

A client disconnect could only be detected if there's a "keep-alive" type of poll between client and server. Or, if some other state about the room changes, and the server tries to pass that state down to all the clients it thinks are still connected, and one of the clients don't ACK the state change message within a client-server timeout, the server could mark that client as disconnected. Might that not be the source of "you've been disconnected from chat" messages?

at that point, it would update the room occupancy count and propagate that info down to the client. i wonder where the break is...?

is the comms protocol documented and/or published somewhere? it would be super useful if it was. even if they rev it continuously (as i think they must). an api would be even cooler (REST, please Smile

IS there ANY possible way you can fix the issue with public rooms. WEEKS and WEEKS of not being able to manage rooms. I have gone as far as uninstalling client. Running CCleaner then loading client back up and SAME result day after day. It worked ONE day in the past month. I am pulling my VIP this is insane.[/b]

I second that ErosDamien all they have done is make a mess at things so many cant manage there public rooms now because of the dumb upgrade as they call it they should make sure the mess works befor putting it out as an upgrade.... and yes i'm talking to you IMVU so much money waisted on something we cant use !!!! Evil or Very Mad

Can't say I'm having any major issues yet, but I'm wondering if the problem with the room card has been addressed. Can't seem to update the list of images from the gallery...

Thats nice and grand,,, but you as a whole IMVu ,, could have thrown a dog a bone ,, by adding a 3 rd room to be opened for us non VIP members,, or at least leave the 2 rooms for members who do not hav eap or vip,, and give just ap members a 3rd room ,,, instead of the 2,, and keep the 10 for vip members,,,, im sure you would have pleased alot of AP members by giving out a 3rd room,,, why just keep vip members happy with all this free things u give them,,, why not keep us AP members happy as well ,,,, we payed for ap ,, and we buy ap thing s,,,, ,,,

I love the idea of having 10 public room as soon as I can pull up the manage your rooms when I need to add them and submit the room picture.

My problem is I usually think I am the one doing something work, user error.
