hello guys ^^
i have noticed that many people are wondering
how to make their text in pixelized form like
the majority of stickers in the catalog.
I also get that question a lot so i thought
that i should make a tutorial explaining some basic things.
Im sure that there is some kind of tutorial for this
around forums but hey maybe this needs an individual thread
this actually motivated me to post more tutorials about text
effects .i hope that these will help someone
so lets cut to the chase shall we C: ?

✿ Shine effect on Text Tutorial ✿
shine oh shine its "eye-catchy" right?
especially for us girls xD
anyway ill be showing you how to make something
like this in this tutorial --->
Creating the shine effect on your text is extremely easy.
So this is gonna be a really short tutorial
❁ Step 1 ❁
Create a new file on gimp or photoshop a transparent one
Choose the text tool and type whatever your text want to be
click for example
❁ Step 2 ❁
Now duplicate your text layer and go to Filters->Blur->Gaussian Blur Choose uhm around 4px .Voila now you are almost done.
click for example
❁ Step 3 ❁
Well you can skip this step if you want since you are done with the shine
on your text, but as you can see on the example i have added some lines
and shiny dots around the text. That can be accomplised with the path tool
on gimp,which is this
just make your line and go to edit-> stoke path and choose the brush tool option, click the box that it has under that says something about simulate brush (idonothavemygimpopenatmsorry). Move the layer with
the lines and the dots under the text one. Please keep in mind that if you want to make the lines shiny you need to duplicate the layer and blur it.
On the example above i have used gaussian blur
The pink text layer was duplicated and blurred.
So basically all you need to do is to duplicate and gaussian blur
the text layer.Play with the opacity and the layers order to get a
pretty result

►Pixelated Text Tutorial◄
sooooooo ill be using gimp for this
but ill make sure to give some tips for photoshop too
my gimp is in greek so im sorry about this x.x
In this tutorial ill be showing you how to make something
like this --->
you will need:
❥ an editing programm (gimp/photoshop)
❥ one of these fonts
download which ever you want it should work with most of them
i will be using this one though for better results
❥ lots of patience xD
so lets get started c;
Step 1 :
❥ open your gimp and create a new transparent file any size it doesnt matter but make sure that its transparent.
Step 2:
❥select your text tool and for the font the visitor one.As for the size ill be using 12 you might choose a different colour and size it doesnt really matter. The colour that youll choose it will be the basic one it looks better with white in my opinion though
click for image example
Step 3:
❥ type your text and make a new transparent layer.
Place the new layer below your text layer.
click for image example
Step 4:
❥ Now the hard part. Select your text layer again right click on your mouse (on the layer) some options will pop up. Click This-->Alpha to Selection. Then go to Select-> Grow and then Edit--> Fill with Bg Colour->Select None.Instead of using the grow and etc you can easily outline your text (since the purpose of this step is the border) by choosing 1px pencil
You should have something like this :
click for image example
Step 5:
❥ Choose your text layer again right click on it and duplicate it.Choose the duplicated layer. Go to Filters-->Gaussian Blur A window will pop ill be using these settings. You should know that the more higher px will make the text lighter.Till now we should have something like this:
click for image example
Step 6:
❥ We are almost done!!
Select your original text layer now and go to
Filters-->Map-->Bump Map as for the settings
you may experiment but ill be using these for a better outcome
Step 7:
❥ Now select the copied layer, the one we blurred and delete it.
Merge down the layers and if you want crop your image save as .png and voila you are done!
click for image example
In photoshop use the Blending Options of the layer to get
the bump effect on the text. Stroke for the border and Bevel and Emboss
or Contour.
Thanks for reading i hope that it helped!

Thanks for the tutorials.
Now I can make them myself instead of paying others to do them. XD
