The very last picture shows the scrolling effect ... but it does not seem to load very quickly or smoothly in the forum. If you want to see it please be patient.

Just a little addition... to show another use for cycling animation. This time a spinning effect that can be used on walls floors or anywhere you like. Be sure to read above I don't cover every detail a second time... this builds on the previous.

This last image has been slowed down (by request) so the animation will look slightly choppy compared to actual speed. Wink

Awesome tutorial, Dalamar! But might want to make the last image a bit slower, it gave me a headache and I don't have seizures but others might o.o

Thanks lil, I was not sure if it was a bit fast or not... I slowed it down some I hope that's better.I definately would not want anyone to have problems because of my images. Confused Shocked Confused

I do have seizure's now due to an injury Mad and was ok. As soon as I saw, I scrolled real fast past it Idea . Rare to see anyone think of it, but nice to see the mention of concern Very Happy (Side note to those with flashing product images, i don't care how good your product is, I will go elsewhere not to see that in my inventory). GREAT tut btw. Helped out a LOT!! THANKS!!!!

I'm glad the tut was helpful... and I would never want to hurt anyone with any of my images. I know when I make my icons I may have them change but I don't make them flash. I was a lil concerned with the spinning animation because too slow will not get the effect but to fast could affect people with issues.

Thanks for your tutorial, this is something Ive been looking for. And I also would like to know how to add trigger on this motion.
And is it also possibe to set the time( ex. once, twice, or threetimes) of cycling for one trigger?

I have not played with triggers yet so I could not tell you how to add them. I'd like to look into this myself but I'm not sure how soon I'll be able to do that. I'm not even sure if triggers can somehow be added to just a texture. But this is a good question and could produce some fun products.

How big can be each picture? I have added 4 time 256x256 72pxl resolution. That make a square 512x512. Setting are 256->x 256->y 4->speed and 4-># of cell. I wanted a maximum of quality since the texture all pixeled when i did smaller. Is there a grid with all option that can be made with picture size? TY for your support. ~EKOART

The maximum size for a texture is either 256 x 512 or 512 x 256. Anything else IMVU will automatically resize. There are quite a few dev's out there who like to submit images that are 512 x 512 or even use 1024 x 512 or 512 x 1024... These are automatically resized down and making them bigger will add to the mb size of your product as well as slowing loading time. If you would like to see some more info about animation you can find it
Here On Keef's Page.

I am making a railway line, which means the textures will all be the same. I've made a 256 x 256 texture which consists out of four 128 x 128 textures (all four textures are identical as its a railway line). But for some reason it is either not cycling or it doesn't appear to cycle. Is this becuase all the textures are identical???
