*Mod hat off*
Let me put this into perspective for you. Most of those prices listed are irrelevant.
| Quote: | | Name Registration: Now $19.99 (was $7.95) |
In five years, multiple accounts and many gifting sprees, I don't think I've ever paid full price for this. You can get your name by signing up for the $0.99 VIP. It's included in some of the IMVU Prepaid Cards -- hell, even the cheap cards will work to register your name if you choose the "redeem for VIP membership" option. You can wait for the "boss" to go out of town or get lost again and buy it on sale (with credits to boot). You can even buy it for less from a verified reseller. There is really no reason to pay any more than $10-12 for this ever -- regardless of the "official" price.
| Quote: | | Name Change: Now $12.99 (was $6.99) |
Largely rendered moot by Premium names. Even so, you get an NCT for free after 3 continuous months of VIP or, again, you can buy it for less (usually packaged with credits) from a verified reseller.
| Quote: | | Age Verification: Now $15.99 (was $9.95) |
This is included with purchase of the Access Pass at no extra charge (Wait for a sale!). Does anyone actually purchase it on its own?
Can't imagine why, if so. It does not actually verify that you are the age that you claim you are. It merely verifies that you are 18 or over. _________________ The size of the purple monkeys has no effect on the height that banana fish can jump. |

I think thy decided to jack up the price of name registration because they've also made unbearable to remain a guest of late. Sadly they've also made simply buying your name a worthless purchase since you don't get nearly as many benefits as you used to.
What worries me about all this is that they're effectively driving people towards ap and cup because the latter gets more money for them and they'll likely make it so the former will become a subscription instead of a one off fee. I swear....and it would have been loads better to increase slowly buy a few dollars than just leap to dammed near 200% of the original price. _________________

Funny you mentioned that....I've had VIP since I joined and bought a NCT at the same time to make some letters in my name capitalized.
I submitted a Help Ticket to have that done and told them to take the NCT for it...that's why I bought it. When I inquired about the NCT after 3 months of VIP I was told that I'd already used it and the Help Ticket was deleted from my page, never to be seen again.

I don't mean to show any disrespect, MinWin, but it does show your real age if you verify, not that you're just over 18...unless I misunderstood you. Meaning if you say you're 33 and are really 37, if you verify, your age shows as 37 from that moment on. _________________ |

I've not tested this myself so can't verify it for sure. It's on my list of things to test but I'm not really in any screaming rush to do so.
What I posted is the policy according to what we verified with staff. The AV merely confirms that your account is over 18. According to the AV page, it's supposed to change your age to the "correct one" if your registered age does not match that of your ID, but it doesn't always. You can file a help ticket to have your age changed to be correct if you wish, but it's considered a non-issue by staff. _________________ The size of the purple monkeys has no effect on the height that banana fish can jump. |

Thanks for that, MinWin; I read it wrong then. I knew it affirmed your correct age, but just misinterpreted what you said. Apologies sent. _________________ |

Yet another Blasted move from the most greedy company on earth.
Maybe if You listen to us FOR ONCE in Your life Maybe you wouldn't have to do such things.
-This is a reason I'm here only 5% anymore-
I'm already PO'ed about the big screen making me wait 15-20 seconds to load a room. (with or without ads, it's still annoying.). If things do not change... Then I don't know.
Oh I see what the problem is... It's not the fact that people are joining imvu ... It's the fact that the biggest part that joins imvu, quits on about the same day, and sooner or later, that number will start to slowly decrease. They must of just realized something of that factor. I swear if I had a better PC, I'd sell all my credits and download SL and play it.
I mean really... I don't know why this aggravates me... Maybe it's the fact that imvu keeps doing things like this, and hardly gives us upgrades that we need. Only the money, never the needs. Never. Maybe a few nice things here and there, but look how much begging for the YEARS we do to get it. And they brag about it when they get a update we wanted... They act like they found a cure for cancer.
Just bluntly saying it's just not fair you know? _________________ Oh, I didn't know you owned imvu and had final say on ideas. Oh, you don't? Well then, please kindly stop putting down people's ideas, even the good ones. Just. Saying. Be more open minded to ideas. |

| Needless to say, I am not surprised, nor do I care. I expected this, just as I expect more soon. I honestly do not care anymore, and will not get worked up over this. I only play IMVU anymore for a few select friends. And, come August, I'll be gone from here, along with them. Let them drive themselves into the ground, I honestly don't care. |

I've never had to buy those things on there own and I'm sure people will find the cheapest way around it
gift cards(offers name and vip)
.99 month vip(name and vip)
or just straight ap(age and no restrictions)
so this is pretty much a null update
that mostly people that are new might fall for
just like all the other update dealing with new accounts
and the rights that will be taken
I've definitely noticed your main target
and I've got to say hearing enough from the oldest members
may have contributed to the latest victims _________________

You only get it for your first continuous 3 months. You don't keep getting them. _________________
