/Chuckles.
Since when do the DOC community submit 'proper' pictures? They go all the way against the rules. 99% of DOC winners are probably photo editors. _________________ DP: OTL (Free Premade Market) |

I love the option of having just the one button to save outfit. I hate the default pose. Can you please have so we can poses it and choose our own background.
Please remove the auto save of outfit when you make a purchase it waste of my time to have to remove your added outfit. I dislike this feature please remove it or give up option on settings. |

Ermm..how on earth are people still submitting DOC entries just fine? Unless they didn't update ever, or maybe they're just repeating outfits? I'm pretty fumed at the *saveOutfit command disappearing as well. e -e;
THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER FAILURE! _________________

iam not even gonna read the whole tread
imvu in 2010 >>about 500 to a 1000 ppl a day entered the outfit competition
IMVU 2011 about 100 to 200 ppl participate in the DOC now daily
I DONT NEED YOUR LIES ABOUT HOW EASY AND WHO LIKES IT AND WHO NOT the amount of ppl quiting says enough THIS SUX how can you call a 5 step program a much easyer way then TYPE 1 word
realy who was hired in your HQ to run this company into the ground in a year max ....he or she is good on scedule
<<canceled vip hidden all items in catalog and using public rooms as radio tab
AUTOBOOT in progress from today
have a happy armageddon peeps >>imvu is just following the trends >how to destroy something good in least amount of time
i guess this company needs to lose vallue fast so it can be bought up by a 3rd party to rip out what they need and then let the rest die of
al these so called upgrades lately are DOWNGRADES and only corrupting the code further till it collapses and hey we still in beta so who loses ??
only the end user |

The reasons the DOCs participants have dropped in numbers are many, but one thing I do want to mention is that of those 500 to 1,000 participants, an extremely large percentage were Off Topic and named "My Outfit." Go back and check it out. We (the moderators) can now flag those pictures for removal. This, at least, is one of the small improvements that makes the playing field a bit more fair.
Secondly, a lot of those pictures you think are "shopped" are not. They are made by people who have mastered the use of the extraordinary effects available in the catalog. Granted, a few photoshopped pictures will make it into the contests periodically, mostly by newcomers and not seasoned DOCers. But, not as many as you think. _________________ Windows 7 Home Premium

So am I right in thinking that every time I want to take multiple screen shots of one outfit - I have to save the outfit and then spend time CHANGING the picture??
You could have more easily publicized *saveOutfit more, then present us with this more ANNOYING and awkward option. _________________

I posted this elsewhere, but here's what I came up with on this lovely new picture taking method. And, now that the pics are .png instead of .jpg, we get the lovely "ghosting" or "graying" effect... *sighs*
So, here's what we have to do now just to take a DOC picture?:
1) Take the default Save Outfit shot.
2) Open My Outfits.
3) Wait for the flippin' picture to save.
4) Click the blue "info" button.
5) Click Change to change that picture.
6) Hit F11 Key to open up to full screen.
7) Reset the pose 'cause it has timed out by now.
8 ) Click something other than the avi or anything black a few times to try to avoid the "graying" effect.
9 ) Click the camera and hope the picture comes out okay (you can't see the problem at the initial save).
10 ) Hit F11 to reduce the screen.
11) Open My Outfits and find the picture.
Now, you have to post your picture in a group thread message just to see if it will come out the way you intend it to and... Oops, newp, not okay - instead of a black dress/hair/couch/backdrop etc., I now have a gray, gray, gray. So, back to the Client and My Outfits...
12) Click the blue Info button to look at the picture. Still looks okay there, WTF?
13) Click Change to change the picture that didn't come out.
14) Hit F11 to open to full screen.
15) Reset the flippin' pose.
16) Click on something other than the avi or something black...
17) Click the camera,
18 ) Hit F11 to reduce the screen
19) Click on My Outfits and find the newly saved picture.
20) Post again in a thread and...
Crap! Crap! Crap! Crap! CRAP!
Repeat Steps 1 to 20. And, this is just for one picture...

why why why why?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!
I am so so SO upset by this. Why did you have to change it, it was fine! This is so not useful in any way. I'm restoring my system and undoing the update because honestly this change is the worse thing you could've possibly done. This doesn't "improve" anything, it just makes everything more complicated. Way to go you guys, way to freaking go... -_- |

Of course you realize before version 2.0 clicking the save outfit button brought up the camera allowing you to do exactly the same thing as the *saveoutfit command. Wouldn't it be simpler just to return that function and forget the frills added on since? I'll be the first to admit some great strides have been made. The compression algorithm used is phenomenally improved for example. At the same time stability is being sacrificed to introduce unpopular features while popular ones are being removed and the reasoning is questionable at best. Think about it. _________________ Tempus Unum Hominem Menet

38 pages and several client upgrades later and we still don't have the *saveOutfit option back. Do you in honesty think IMVU even cares what your opinion is? They can lie about what ever they want when it suits them. Prove to me, IMVU, and those in this forum thread of all the people you claim said they loved the idea of the new save outfit option. Give me the names of every person or thread or/and a sprinkle of evidence that the mass majority wanted this change. There is proof in this forum thread that we don't want it removed, that we love the *saveOutfit function and want it back.
Nevermind the DOC community (even though it is a valid point), what about the views on the creator side of this? It is a complete nightmare. Not only did you remove the *saveOutfit option but now you can't even take FULL screen pictures in HIGHER RESOLUTION USING *HIRESSNAP OR *HIRESNOBG which is FAR BETTER THAN THE *saveOutfit TOOL!! Which provides a cleaner, clear, more realistic picture. Not to forget to mention, all those ppl who can't afford to buy credits right away who love to "window shop" in the catalog and put outfits together to purchase at a later time when they do get the credits, they too cannot *saveOutfit in shop tab and place it in their special manage file they desire. It is completely unfair even for the new users. Where you can only save an outfit in shop as long as you FORCE THEM TO BUY SOMETHING.
-corrections and additions- ...As of today, the newest client 459.6 you can use *hiresnobg and *hiressnap but you still CANNOT USE *saveOutfit. |

OK, so I spoke too soon about *hiressnap and *hiresnobg.

(Mod edit - tags removed. Forum images can be no larger than 500 x 500 - thank you.)
The purpose of using *hiressnap and *hiresnobg is to have perfect, clean, clear, and SMOOTH (edges) photos within the client and Create Mode. Before anyone thinks it, NO, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY PC OR GRAPHIC CARD OR WHATEVER ELSE YOU MAY WANT TO PUT THE BLAME ON ON MY END. See the scizzor edges around the image? That is NOT suppose to be there when using *hiresnap or *hiresnobg. You will get this kind of disquality using Print Screen. This product image I displayed above was taken using *hiressnap. Please CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. It is bad enough that it takes a long time to create the textures and now I have to go back and correct the resolution and smooth out the edges on the image before I dispaly it in the catalog. NOONE wants to have bad advertisements of their products. ALL PHOTOS TAKEN USING *HIRESSNAP AND *HIRESNOBG WOULD ALWAYS SAVE TO YOUR DESKTOP WITH A TRANSPARENT BACKGROUND. IT DIDN'T DO IT THIS TIME. IT ALSWAYS KEEPS THE WHITE BACKGROUND.[/img]
**EDITED REGARDING TRANSPARANCY |
