I messaged Matt and apparently it was causing a crash, so they removed it for this pre-release to test it. They plan to have it back and fixed by the next full release (and maybe sooner). |
Just highlights how ineffectual the information passed out in these prereleases is. They as good as never tell us everything they stick in to the release or a prerelease. We find out about the tests and other quirks all to late and next to never get a full explaination. Even when we do there ends up being glaring inconsistancies they say one thing we experience something completely different.

Why is my room empty where I invite someone and full on the My room mode? I was oookay that is weird. Is someone else havig the same problem?
EDIT: That happens with all the rooms I own. I am seriously going back to a more functioning version right now.

OK, what is with this junk whenever I go into a public room, I get an advertisement for playing games. You need to change that where it only happens once, not every time you load a room. Better yet, lose it altogether! I hate games on IMVU, and I will never play them, no matter how often you try to shove it down my throat!

Time to try this. Hopefully it fixes the issue. If not, it's back to 451.0 again.
And it still doesn't fix furniture failing to load if you're the one invited into a private chat. Seriously you guys, could you possibly fix a bug that was removed in 451.0 but popped up in the 12 other prereleases you made?

451.24 Loading into PC takes for ever again furniture doesn't even load until five minutes after i get in the room. Changing outfits can end up being slow and lagging and not render up correctly for 2 minutes.

Absolutely agree, when I am invited to most private rooms, or join many public rooms..I appear to have loaded, then for the next few minutes the furniture arrives bit by bit..in some cases the person who invited me remains in default for quite a time until the client 'catches up' and resolves his/her avatar.
I have noticed this a few times since 'upgrading' via 450.x and through all 451 versions
Another thing which appears to have partially returned is the public room card information, rooms are listed as empty but are occupied on arrival, I tested this on one of my own public rooms...two of us were there and the room card refused point blank to update, still showed the room as empty regardless of how many times I closed the chat room list and restarted it.

I am merely having an problem with the inventory (I hadn't patched in awhile due to crashing issues). The dropdown menus are rather taxing and time consuming. I would rather have the pictures tabs then perhaps a dropdown menu regarding whether I want to look for individual types of Tops for instance, i.e. Designer Gowns, Mini Dresses, Angel Dresses, Tees, ect, ect.... or let the users makes their own collections.
I for one would love to put all my gowns in one 'category' and then so on for my inventory. |

I dislike the drop down menu as well. It takes longer to find things, the print is much too small. The yellow inventory picture tabs were much better. One click and I was there.
I have gotten the user tips when I open a public room. I certainly don't like having them, since I am an experienced user, but apart from that, the tips really aren't that helpful so far, even if you were a new user.
You should have tips like the link to the Outfits Management Page etc. Useful stuff like that.
