I reported a guy...over a year ago for disrupting a chat by just spamming over and over and harassing everyone.

Everyone in that room reported him.

He came in another one...did the same thing...reported him there too.

Everyone there reported him as well.

Is he banned yet?

Nope. :/

Ahaha, that was a truly hilarious statement Gerroh, as i've seen you respond ALOT to threads when you clearly haven't read all the posts either! Wink

In threads with 5+ pages, sure, I'll skim through and get the rough idea of what's going on, but this thread had 9 posts when Blue posted that.
Nice to see you've got some sort of personal hate against me, though.

Anyway if you have a problem with the person just block them and forget about it. Don't be mad just because they didn't get disabled.. it shouldn't be your job to just stalk someone to make sure they get disabled >__>

Then what is the point of the "report abuse" button? And if a guy comes to me saying things which are UFI it is almost fine. I'm adult and I can deal with this, but this guy will do the same with whoever else. Many don't really look the pages, don't ask for age ... just keep trying... and if this guy reaches a child this could be a serious problem.

When have we ever known IMVU to really follow the TOS and follow through with what they are SUPPOSED to do? :\ I just think it's one of their last priorities if you get what I'm saying..

Bluerider is correct to both statments. I remember an occassion when I was converting my HP to GA and I mistakenly left a AP sticker on it. After a few weeks, I logged on one day and had warning1 to 3, (4,5&6 skipped) and then a Warning 7. They had turned my HP to AP status. All this took place in a matter of minutes. I have a code in my message panel that lets me see the exact times of the messages. I also recently had a product flagged and i talked to customer support about it. The guy sounded like he was reading from a script. Oh get this it was warning 11. what happened to 8, 9 & 10? Further more today I recieved warning 14. I guess I upset someone, LoL Very Happy. Oh but wait where was 12 & 13?

Should I be banned?, im over the fore mentioned 10 limit Razz

So to sum it up I got 14 warnings against me for 3 seperate offenses. 2 of them were honest mistakes and this last one, I have no Idea who i upset. *thinks real hard* - nope cant say i remember a convo bad enuff to get reported over. *wonders if imvu really read the transcript - or if the automated faulty warning system sent me 2 invisible warnings and 1 visible one* Rolling Eyes
I do agree that people should report bad offenses when needed. But to say after 10 u get disabled is rediculous considering the missing warnings and not being told what exactly you did wrong. Further more as u can see from my 3 warnings 2 of them were mistakes i made which I corrected when notified and all 3 had nothing to do with each other. I think if there is going to be a cap on the amount of warnings, that there has to be a few categories each with a maximum amout of warnings and for each warning for us to be notified with a more clear reason as to what the offense was for. this standard "TOS" violation just dont cut it. once the maximum is met in any catagory and they have indeed explained each offense clearly. Well then by all means "disable"

If all else fails with disagreements and /or pest in a chat room u got 3 other options, one of which I read further up - BLOCK them. 2. BOOT them or leave the room.

Have fun Ladies and Gents, Candyx28

Again, read what I said.
This guy had multiple warnings from separate dates on each warning.
They were not duplicates, each warning was days or weeks apart.

I agree with you. To me reporting someone is useless. I have reported people before and nothing ever happened to them. Even when their whole message box was filled with reports on them. I gave up on reporting idiots over a year ago. lol

Hey, I just read through this thread cause I was looking for some info about warnings. Got my second one today, I guess because the leather-and-chains background (with absolutely no visible body-parts in it) was considered adult content. I guess, cause they just sent the standard message "Your home page is in breach with ..." and don't tell you what is wrong.

It's damn hard to understand where the limit between GA and AP is. The only clear thing are the minimum coverage guidelines. After ten months on IMVU I have learned that dungeon stocks are GA as long as they are used for whipping and torture, while, as soon as there is a pose caressing the victim's back it must be AP. Damn hard to understand ...

What I really want to know is: How many warnings does it take to be disabled? I have seen several avis, even content creators, with the suffix xxxxx_disabled. What do you have to do to reach this point? Where are the rules? Who takes these decisions?

I'm asking this cause I really like IMVU and I've been quite successful as a newbie content creator. All I want to do is stick to the rules, but where are the rules? The Virtual Goods Policy is a guideline, but absolutely subjective. Where exactly is the limit between GA (kiss-and-cuddle) and AP (mild-to-moderate-sexual-themes)?

Of course, minors must be protected from viewing and experiencing certain contents. But at IMVU they aren't because there are no thorough and objective rules.

personally i think imvu should be adopting the policy of not telling you what action they take agisnt said violaters.

alot of companys that are in ways like this will take your complaint. tell outhat they have looked into the mater but for privacy reason cannot inform you of what decision they have come to.

and honestly they should take that stance. you may have made a complaint but ultimatly its up to imvu what action they take.

The really pissy thing about you getting warnings is: You should never have gotten that warning from IMVU in the first place. Having AP stickers on a GA page is within the TOS, as GA can't SEE AP stickers.

Just shows you how pathetic the imvu warning system is. All you got was an automatic warning and page reset, without staff having ever looked at it.

maybe he needs to collect a specific number of warnings before he could be banned...

Just flagging a homepage, or flagging a chat may not be enough.

You can force the hand of IMVU a little by filing a help ticket, documenting the harassment (Link at the bottom of the page). That seems to get results, at least in my experience.

Yes, the numerical counting system is bugged, and the message delivery system isn't much better, so it is concieveable that one report could generate multiple warning HP messages over many days.
