No Msn Invitation

hi everybody,

Well, Imvu doens t work for me and one of my friends and it seens to be the same this for other people (see at this adress : http://www.materiel.be/news/6605/#0 sorry it s a french language forum).

Concerning me and my friend :

The automatic invitation doesn t work.When we use the task bar icon, we have our avatars but no one receive the invitation and in the window we have only (invitation...).
Me and my friend have MsN 6.2.

so two questions :

- Is anybody have this trouble ?
- is the french language a problem ?

Please....HELP ! Sad

ps : I tried whit MsN and Trillan Pro 2.0.13 (for him, no invitation in the task bar icon))

pps : I have a firewall but I disabled ,no Xp firewall, Windows Xp SP1

Je ne parle pas français très bien, mais je voudrais aider.

I'm one of the engineers here at IMVU, and I'm really excited to see so many new faces from France. Welcome!

I know that we're having some problems with the french version of MSN Messenger; I'm working on it now, but it's very difficult. As you can imagine, I don't have access to a French version of MSN Messenger here, so I have to go by the bug reports that you all send me.

I do have one request, if you're willing to help out. In your IMVU folder, you should find a log file for each conversation you've had on MSN. This log file will be named something like MSN_from_Eric.log and contains diagnostic information that would be really helpful for me to have.

So, if you would be willing to email that information, along with a description of your problem to eric@imvu.com I might be able to get this problem fixed this weekend.

As I said in my mail, I have not found this file but I sent you the run.log file.

Thank you so much for sending that - it was quite helpful. Here are two more tips that might help:

1) there is a Save Chat Logs preference item in the IMVU menu. This needs to be turned on in order to create the MSN_*.log files.

2) we've pushed a new update to IMVU that will include extra diagnostic information when you report a bug. So if you would upgrade, see if the problem still happens, and if so, choose one of the "Not working?" menu items to report it again.

Eric, if you want to do some testing, you could download the French version of MSN Messenger from http://messenger.msn.com/download/?dllang=fr

Any other languages giving you problems? Just look at the bottom of the downloads page and click on "change language".

If you want, I can download the same messenger too and we could do some 1-on-1 testing.

nop, same thing after the update Sad

No .log file msn.Ok with AiM and Yahoo, both logs exist but nothing for MsN

Eric and myself are currently working on finding a fix for this. Please give it a little time, apparently things aren't as easy as hoped.

I'm French and i'm just installed Imvu with MSN 6.2.. but i can't invit' my buddies. In the window, i see my charactere and my nick but no friends... just "(inviting...)'..

The new version has been replace for downloding ?

well, after the update, the autoinvit works now ,but not the rest, still in (invit....).
Should we have to uninstall/reinstall imvu or it s not necessary ? Crying or Very sad
