|
|
I really hope I have not missed any news about this topic on the forums, but cant find any related thread about this.
A friend showed me a screenshot of the Accesspass-Offer page she got:
Investigating this case we found out that it probably depends on the entered Country in the SignUp-Screen and maybe localization by IP or totally random like roulette?
The question now is, why are the values are so different and even why is there a difference that some can only do monthly and other others only the one-time-payment?
Second try from her but now saying:
"Big fun, low cost: Get your AP subscription for only $7.99 per month!"
Screenshot:
Soo with three tries we have these options:
- $7.99 per month
- $4.99 per month
- $19.95 one-time
Doesnt really make sense to me, can anyone help? _________________

That's quite odd.
I thought that the AP was only a one time payment of 19.95 USD. _________________ Recycling old DPs. This one is by Magette.

So, instead of paying 19.95 just once, you can pay for it monthly?
WTF.

Yeah, which ends up being either $60 or $96 per year for the new folks that sign up for it during this "test." o_O _________________ Tongue-tied and twisted, just an Earthbound misfit, I.

And the big question that is being asked IS THIS what happens to the AP items that you buy As a new user ? when you decide you really don't want the AP any longer Because IT IS NOT worth the money You spend on it ?? DO you lose all AP content that you buy
DO you get a full refund
Or does the poor dev repay you for the AP content you bought *cough*
IMVU maybe you can come and tell us the answers to these questions please. _________________

I think its okay to offer a possibility to get it for a monthly chargement but then it should be equal on all accounts. I can see the point of the subscription test to find out if there is a need for this.
But two accounts I created didnt get the monthly-pay option, one did get it. And then the difference between the two values 4.99 and 7.99 - sounds very strange to me.
Explainations would be nice. _________________

I'm glad it don't affect me and my three other accounts with AP already :3 these are the days I am glad I have gold pass and AP already because IMVU is constantly trying to screw new users..
I just bought my alt her AP and it was very cheap.. but it did not say I would need to pay monthly which is good ;o or I would never of done it. _________________ ~Just because you say it doesn't make it true ~

$4.95 a year, would be nicer.
But I'd rather pay $19.95 for a one-time fee.

Moving these posts over from the other thread:

Is it just me, or did anyone else notice that they recently started charging $10.99 per month for access pass?... Wasn't it $19.99 for permanent ap in the past? Sigh... I was about to get ap today but I changed my mind since they're charging monthly fee now.
Personally, I believe they're overcharging us. I could understand if this was an actual ' online game ' such as World of Warcraft, but come on now, $10.99 monthly for mature content and to communicate with adults? that's just going overboard.

This is a test.
And...
I was offered $7.99 a month on one of my Guest accounts...
so I will assume they are also testing the limits of what people are willing to pay. |

Wonder who out there is being offered the AP for $19.95 per month. |
| MsxRoxy wrote: | Oh I see. Thanks for letting me know.
Well, I definitely won't ever spend money on it if I had to pay more than 5 dollars per month.
... Actually, never mind; I don't think I'll ever spend money on it unless they bring the $19.99 one time fee back. |
| Notorious wrote: | They announced this in the AP forums, and I am surprised they didn't permeate the forums with information so people would not just show up with concern.
Obviously they plan on implementing this...not just testing it.
I hope NO one bites on their test.
If you have the AP, you will not ever have to pay this monthly fee. (So they say now) |
| MsxRoxy wrote: | | ... Damn, I wish I purchased the pass few days ago. The reason why I didn't was because of the fact that I haven't gotten my pay check... plus I'll always need few days to think before spending real money on these kinds of things. |

The test is scheduled to run 30-45 days. Trust me, nothing you get with the AP is likely to "spoil" if you put off buying it for another month. |

I was considering the access pass, but there's no way i'm paying a monthly fee. It's either a one-off fee or not at all for me.
I'm interested in the question posed about the products these new AP users buy. I know I lost heaps of items when peer review came in, because that ridiculous testing pose showed red bits... my credits were refunded, but in that case, it was fair that the devs paid us back because they misrepresented the products. (except in the cases where the mesh was sold as GA, but wasn't). I really don't think that devs should have to pay for the user's decision to terminate their access pass under this scheme. If IMVU are prepared to take advantage of members, they should be prepared to refund the credits out of their own pocket. _________________ I'm still in disbelief, I look at the ring on my finger, and I wonder where on earth I found someone who could love someone like me. |

I wonder what happens to people who chose to cancel the AP membership after a while.
Will teh creators refund teh no longer used items?
Are the creators who will buy AP asked to keep it forever and pay fees forever and a day so they will be able to keep the AP part of their catalogue? |
