I was curious on what ppl's opinion were on cliques on IMVU or if you have run into any such thing on here.
Warning: Please do not spam or go OT and for heavens sake no slamming someone's opinions, the last time I checked this was a free place to express such a thing if its done correctly and doesnt insult or hurt another person.
Please use your manners when posting. Please do not use names when posting just your opinions wanted.
Go ahead let me hear your ideas and opinions on such a matter. _________________

Clique.
I'm the one with the superiority complex (thanks Lalikat) that gets satisfaction from making others feel bad about themselves. I think they called them jocks in High School. |

I am not just talking bout one person here and there I think actually what you are doing is brilliant in its own way lol it gets beggars off the street
I am talking bout cliques like in high school that used to hang around in all the "cool" spots of the school and then make you feel miserable like you were scum or something worse scrapped off their shoes. _________________

And like High School, the 'popular' 'cool' kids on the forums/IMVU are the least interesting people in the long run. Of course you have your little popular crowd, but we all learned something from High School, didn't we? Those are the people who feel lost once they graduate. It's all they ever knew, and were too busy in their delusions of grandeur to find the real good stuff.
I don't worry myself too much over it. Popularity is such a quickly passing status. |

I'm not sure about the non developing community but the develping community definately has cliques. A few developers and their respective online communities are rather "you're either with us or against us" and will have a go at you if you derive from anyone elses stuff but theirs. Or will have a go at you if you're a member of any other community but theirs. It's all rather highschoolish and as a 27 year old I'm completely over it lol.
Luckily I've found quite a few communities that are quite welcoming and friendly. In the end every part of life whether it be in the workplace, online or whatever all have cliques it's just up to the person to either become a part of the immaturity or choose to stay out of it. Me, I'm pretty good at getting along with anyone and pretty much keeping out of the politics of developing here on imvu. _________________

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of cliques. I like to mingle with each. Not taking anything from one to the other. _________________

You're not allowed into my clique until you fix the straddle and make the doggy a bit smoother. |

Well most of the forum regulars that I know end up in one chatroom outside of IMVU where we can talk about whats going on without having other people seeing what we type. That's probably the only thing close to a clique that I see going on, although anyone is welcome in there within reason. Same with the Celtic Developer forums.
There will always be those groups of people that form together with some lame idea in mind, and I am usually there to observe it and give them the cold shoulder I don't need a V.I.P. pass to feel special, I have sonicspike to tell me I am. (right..) _________________

She needs no special clubs to fit in, she seems to just naturally fit in with everyone she comes into contact with. She is a wonderful person who can literally change a person's life with just a few simple words here and there.
As for cliques, I'm not a very active developer, but I've heard a few stories here and there of pro devs and other well known devs taking sides against other developers and saying things about them on various forums. It's all pointless to me, I like the words, "Can't we all just get along?" _________________
