So..
I've read that:

Effective immediately, we are completely taking MASA caps out of consideration for any account that is requesting payouts that are $500 or less in a rolling 30 day period. In other words, if you want to request $500 or less in a 30-day period, you will get that amount paid out to you irrespective of your past sales. A vast majority (over 90%) our Creators who have signed up to earn money no longer have to worry about any MASA limits..
..

But I keep reading people get capped. So what is true now?

Do people really NOT get capped under 500$?
Or is that a little thing to ease our minds, but in the end its different anyway?

I am one of the 10 percent...that earn over the 500 a mnth....so Masa still applies to me...apparently.

You can earn up to 500 without gaining a Masa cap...for the 30 day rolling period

I am in the same situation for another alt creator account as well.

My main creating account has been verified for a long time but these are 2 low earning accounts that I have in addition.

Will my verification requests be taken seriously as you have now imposed a deadline?

Varsha, can you please let us know why those messages are sent out even though the information was supplied 8 days previously?

Bump. Any word?

I'm getting anxious that this is a ploy to take the money from my alt accounts without having to pay out.

500 a month for not getting capped is so low. That's 125 a week. And they are saying that's 90%? So that's 90% not making that much here. That cap really needs to be improved upon. I still see no reason why/how imvu can justify capping anybody for under what they earned when requesting a payout. The sales are all right there for review. Review and then pay. Then there wouldn't be any problems. Your creators would be happy and in turn the community would be happy to have creators who are flourishing and happily creating.

One of the popular requests related to our Earn Money program for Creators has been to allow them to earn both Credits and Cash for their product sales at the same time.

We have just made that possible. A Creator who has signed up to earn money (cash) for their catalog sales, can now choose a percentage of such earnings to be paid in Credits versus Cash. The pend period of 14 days will still apply to both and this does not apply to promotional Credits purchases that pay a developer token in lieu of profits.

How does this work?

If you are earning money, simply go to your Creator Payments page and use the Earning Distribution slider to earn 10, 20, 30...100% (increments of 10) of your earnings in Credits instead of Cash.

Note: Today, if you are earning money then you will be set to 100% cash till you choose to change the distribution.

Any sales of your products going forward will therefore pay you out in Credits and Cash depending on the distribution you select. You can choose to change it at any time and the change will apply to all sales going forward.

Changing distribution does not affect your account verification status.

Example:

If you have a product set to earn you 1000 Credits in profit and set your earning distribution to be 20% Credits and 80% Cash then you will earn 200 Credits and $0.32 for each purchase of that product made with real Credits.

Partial amounts:

So what happens if your profit is 5 Credits and your have chosen to earn 25% in Credits and 75% in Cash?

Since partial Credits (in this case 1.25 Credits) can not given out, we will use the directional approach with seeing that you have chosen to make more money than Credits with this distribution selection. Therefore you will get 1 Credit for a sale of that product and rest of the .25 Credit will be added to your cash earning i.e. you will earn cash equivalent to 4 Credits i.e $0.0016.

Reports:

The 200 Credits earning will be shown in your Credit Balance Events report and the $0.32 will be shown in your Cash Balance Events report.

The sales report email will list both values as well.

We hope you enjoy this additional flexibility in managing your catalog sales and earnings from IMVU!

The messages are automated based on the actual dates when creators set their accounts to start money and if those accounts are unverified..

We will be prioritizing such verification requests for accounts that are approaching the 90 day deadline.

I saw this just a bit ago when I went to check my reports. Nice feature. Much easier than switching back and forth or trying to figure out what to set for cash/credit earning individually.

Good to know, thank you Varsha. That should put some minds at ease for those still waiting to be verified.

For supplying the documentation needed for earning cash (after choosing the cash option). You can sign up for cash anytime, but then you must submit all the documentation needed within 90 days or your sales will revert to credit earnings only.

After seeing the changes on Earning Distribution slider, it is a good and useful for creators. Really good job IMVU.

Looking at IMVU Developer Reports, I would suggest that maintain Credit income events as before, ie listing all the credit income coming in, to see how much all the credit and the total sales revenue in each day in one place.

Create another link in IMVU Developer Reports or row at Credit income events, list the amount of the credit after deduction of the percentage that has been set on the Earning Distribution slider page.

Nice.

I think I might try that out.

See if I can find the right balance.

Just ASK US before you do ***? 10% is way too much. I want to set mine at 1 or 2 percent. I know you like to treat us all like morons who don't know anything, but we actually do know quite a lot. In the same way that you (hopefully) know a lot about your jobs and your income and how that all works.

ffs

I have to agree here. A slider scale can work for any amount. 1 to 100% would just as easily worked as this one you developed.
