I got the message and my picture is not on that site. So I will just trust IMVU to fix the glitch....and btw those pictures on that site are so ugly I doubt seriously IMVU chose those to make public  |

To be honest i am glad they got my picture i use gimp alot with my pic's so glad it is getting out there to imvu hope to see my picture in this new feature  |

To all of you who are terrified and are whining about your "private" pictures being taken by IMVU, even though this is not even the case now, I'll just say; read the ToS through, (I did it yesterday.Nolifer? -perhaps). It clearly says (Under "Submissions) that IMVU have the right to do whatever to your photos, without notification. So I don't see why you're mad in the first place. c:

Then it's at least not visible to other users, that's the point of "private".

The whole idea of signing up to IMVU you would be agreeing to the TOS automatically so it is strongly advised that each and every user read the TOS thoroughly - so in regards to IMVU having access to "private pictures" remember that IMVU is for a range of all ages from 13+ so when you intend to publish pictures do so cautiously because it also states in the TOS that although you own and control your account, IMVU has overall control.
So with pictures that some users deem sensitive and are paranoid that IMVU will publish them, how about you don't publish them at all in the first place

Your info is not being shared. The message was sent by mistake and no pictures were shared. I too am one of those who has been testing this feature and no photos go into the stream unless you personally tick to share them, and you can delete any if you share by accident.
It works like this;
when you take a photo, in addition to the bit asking if you want to use that picture as a display picture, there is also a box to tick if you want to share the image to your stream. That box will default to whatever your last choice was. If you do not want to share the image you leave it unticked when you save the pic. The pic then goes into your default album as usual and is not shared.
If you tick to share to your stream, the pic goes into your default album as usual but a copy also goes into your stream and is visible to your friends only.
Some of those photos do go into a popular stream and are visible to others. All stream-shared photos must be GA.
You CAN opt out:
If you do not want to share when this goes live, leave the share box unticked. It will then stay unticked by default. (That was one of the things that the testers insisted on very early on.)
IMVU are not taking private pictures out of private albums. This new feature ONLY shows the pictures that YOU CHOOSE to share with others.

Can the original post be edited to show the updated information about how this was a bug because people don't seem to read through the topic to see the staff updates explaining the message bug.
Might get less people yelling if they can read the information when they first open the topic.

| I personally DO NOT want photo streaming nor do I WANT to see it on my community page above my messages,Is there going to be a option to disable,or hide it it as I find it QUITE annoying,that when I go to click my pulse,my messages,the streaming for photo's pop up and redirect me to pictures I frankly don't to look at nor interested in it...Thankyou |
