I think a better place for new meshes to be would be a great idea. If you go into new room meshes in the explorer you find them that way - but also includes things that have been textured. Guess there is no easy way really. I always struggle to know where I should post a new room mesh i make and it seems ages before people seem to find them. Guess I dont advertise enough _________________

Then I tick the 'Derivable Only' box. I then just look for one I like and follow the derivation link back as far as it will go to the original mesh.

I would add to check the "price low to high" option, this helps to see the actual meshes, not just stuff people have left derivable. |

Other way of finding nice meshes is viewing the catalog and every clothes or furniture or room you like, you open it's page and seek if they're derivable, if not, go to the derivation tree to find from where it was derived from. In fact, I advise you to do this always, because some derivers can put their products as derivable, and if you derive from those products, the final price of your product would be high (people have to pay you, the first deriver and the mesher) and will weight a lot so it would be slow to charge in the rooms. |
I do all the above. _________________

| I use some of the above methods but mainly I use the forums. Yep , while scrolling thru I'll see a banner or a person who looks interesting and check their catalog. I tend to lean towards the old timers (not being disrespectful but what I call you guys) because they tend to have awesome items everyone and their mothers isn't walking around with that item at the moment. |

Everyone probably does this, but I didn't see this mentioned, so just in case...
when I am taking a break from developing, or just chatting or watching tv, etc., I look for meshes and then save the links.
I keep a folder in favorites. when I see a mesh I like, I put it in my favorites folder, which is organized by categories (imvu/clothes/women's clothes/dresses/tight/formal) Then, when I save the link, I name it something like "possible for ______ idea". Then I move on.
If I cannot find something, I will sometimes go to a mesher that has something close to what I need and ask them if they can make that particular mesh. A lot of times they will agree to do so. _________________

usually I check out the meshes of my freinds who are meshing.....and often I look on photostream. Some of the most amazing stuff shows up there. My photostream buds are vicious shoppers and creators _________________ Behold The Splendor-Available NOW

If I'm looking in the catalog, if I find something I like, I then look at the derive tree in order to get to the parent mesh. I will also find things I like from creators by seeing them in the forums or groups and will check out their products, all derives, and then I bookmark the parent mesh to look at later. I've also found a couple of cool meshes by people pulsing their new products or linking other people's catalogs. I wish I could mesh; but, we have many, many very talented meshers that I derive from. _________________

I don't know if someone already mentioned this but how I search for particular meshes is I go to the catalog and click derivable products. Then I type in what I want to search for in the catalog search bar. You can even find better meshes when you choose the "average user ratings" options in the little drop down menu to the right of the catalog. _________________

A lot of times, I just check the imvu catalog and products part of the forum.
It's a bit limited but a lot of the meshers I like still post their new stuff in there. _________________ My catalog |

I usually just browse around in the catalog for something similar of what I want do.
Most of the time though I just see a mesh somewhere,be it in groups or here or in the catalog I really like. _________________
