I told you salt water several times. I even told you how to make salt water. It's really not that hard. You just put salt into water.

If the wound hurts then touching it with anything will hurt. But salt water is gentle and safe and helps kill germs.

He didn't react to the salt water at all he just looked at me weird when i touched his foot with the wet cotton then he moved along with his usual nosy self .

While I was reading I was like "What kind of exotic animal could it be, A cat? No, it's exotic. Oh, he's kinda big. What kind of rat is he? Did you buy it from a pet store? I've never seen a rat like that before in a pet store, except gueinue pigs and ferrets. They're so cute!~ My friend has a albino ferret and his eyes are red. Sorry for rambling. This is just really interesting.

You could fill up the sink to where it would go a little past his feet, add salt in it, and let him run around in it. Makes it so much easier and you don't have to grab his foot.
Oh and taking him to the vet is just going to be a waste of time and money, they can't do anything about a nail and it shouldn't be life threatening.
