Unlocking as we have an update.

The bug allowing for larger than 50KB images to be uploaded as product icons via the Add HTML Description page has been fixed. This is now no longer possible.

We are looking into issue of over-sized product icons currently in the catalog. Please stay tuned for an update.

If you have a large image (over 50KB) as your product icon and want to ensure that it is not modified by IMVU as part of any automated clean up process then we advise you to change it on your own ASAP. This new image will need to meet our sizing guidelines.

Thank you for your patience and for reporting this issue to us. Stay tuned for an update regarding existing large sized product icons.

Thank you for the update.

I advise anyone who has been updating icons via the html page in recent months to do a check/ backup. What I do is make a folder on my desk top, pull up my product page, right clik and save all my icons to it, and then arrange the saved icons by file size, then you can easily see what's over and what's not.

Holy rusted metal, batman! I actually have to applaud IMVU's efforts and exercise in fairness, here. While it would be nice to have larger icon size, it is extremely inefficient from a shopper's perspective.

I have been watching this thread too. I know I am alright I have ugly static icons all uploaded from the client. hehe

Should be interesting to see what happens to the over sized animated icons and the catalog. Hmmm.....
