Promotional Bundles - Accepting Summer VIP Bundles 5/20/13

We are currently accepting summer-themed VIP bundles. Please see my post below for details.

IMVU routinely works with various Creators to make the gifts that are awarded to our VIP club members and for our promotions such as prepaid card purchases. We want to ensure that all the Creators on IMVU are aware of how the process works in case you are interested in creating a bundle or an item for these promotions. The Creators of promotional gift products are prominently featured in all our marketing communications. The products are typically a gift to our VIPs as their monthly benefit or bonus gifts for folks who purchase using IMVU prepaid cards.

Some basic guidelines for VIP and PPC gifts:

All products must be textured and meshed by you alone and derived from IMVUInc products only. Promotional products cannot be set to derivable.

Each promotional gift must be very high quality. To get an idea of what we expect, please read the “Tips for a Successful Promotion” part of our promo bundle tutorial.

All products are locked for a 12 month period, meaning you may not edit the products. The items will remain in your catalog but at a very high price. After 12 months has passed, you will need to email us if you want your promo items unlocked.

IMVU contracts with the Creator of such gifts and pays them as per that contract. You need to be able to receive payment via Paypal or check made out in US dollars.

A typical VIP bundle contains about 10-15 furniture items and a room. The goal is to have a room that is well decorated.

A typical prepaid card gift is a room, a pet, or a furniture item.

Update:

We are looking for seasonal promo items! October and November are quickly approaching, and we want IMVU members to have incredible autumn- and Halloween-inspired products. These items will need to abide by all of the basic guidelines in the above post.

Some ideas:

Halloween
Haunted mansion
Scary fair: haunted games, rides, etc.
Spooky cemetery
Masked ball

Autumn
Harvest festival: general fall-themed rides, attractions
Harvest outdoor scene: picnic at sunset in vineyard/lake/etc.
Autumn bonfire for two
Misty pond/lake with rowboat for two

As we make our way into the new year, we are looking for new promo bundle submissions from our talented community! January is full at the moment, but February is wide open. If you have a great idea for some romantic, Valentine's Day-themed bundles, please email us at promotions@imvu.com between January 15th through January 31st.

We are always looking for prepaid card gifts, VIP gifts, and other promotional and/or login gifts. Send any ideas for promotional products or links to finished products to promotions@imvu.com

Hello Creators,

Today we are announcing a change to our Promotional Bundle Process. For those new to Promo Bundles, they are room & product or clothing bundles put together by Creators and officially sold through the IMVU Credit Store. Our talented Creator community creates these bundles and submits them for approval to our Promo Bundle team.

The changes mentioned below begin May 1, 2013. Please carefully read each point before submitting future bundles:

Bundle Approval Changes

Starting May 1, 2013, when a creator emails their bundle for approval to promobundles@imvu.com they will receive an automated acknowledgement that we have received the submission.

-If we choose to promote your bundle, the Promo team will send a

follow up email. The follow up will be sent within a week of receiving the

emailed bundle submission. This follow up will include requested

changes (if any), estimated promotion dates, and any other questions,

etc.

-Creators will not receive a follow up email if their bundle submission is

not going to be promoted.

Quantity of Promo Bundles Per Month

Starting May 1, 2013 we will be promoting about 4 bundles per month. We will be seeking high quality bundle submissions that require little to no changes. For an idea of what makes a high quality bundle, please see our helpful tutorials: What We Look For in Bundles and Building Great Bundles.

Our Promo Bundle team is finding new and better ways to market Promotional Bundles. We believe that by focusing the marketing on each bundle, and limiting these high quality bundles to 4 per month, we will see an increase in bundle purchases.

Over the next few days, Creators will receive a message about these changes. We are excited about our new process and look forward to seeing your latest bundle creations!

Guidelines for VIP bundle submission

All products must contain your own original texture and mesh work.

All products must be directly derived from IMVU Inc. products only.

Your VIP promo bundle products cannot be set to derivable.
