Why are the free shops here being closed down, when they're allowed in GASR? :/ _________________ You can find me in the new GASR. |

There was a bit of miscommunication over whether free shops are allowed or not. Staff have confirmed to us that free shops are not allowed, so I locked up as instructed. I believe the GASR mods have yet to see the staff instructions, hence why they are currently unlocked.

We're locking shops for now in case there are those who do not know yet and need to copy their shop, save orders or such. In time, these locked threads will be removed from the forum, so it won't be such a graveyard here. _________________ DP by Katelyn <3 |

It'll still be a graveyard because no-one will use this forum anymore.

People may not believe me, but there was a time before shops in this forum I remember very well that layout shops were in GASR and all the non-selling/buying side of homepages were here. So as it was done in the past, it can be done again. _________________ DP by Katelyn <3 |

6. the community is strong already- the GASR has 1242 registered users and counting, and the HBAD has 144 registered users just since it opened up YESTERDAY.
7. there are only TWO "official" websites. one hosting the GASR, the other the HBAD
8. each website has a corresponding IMVU group for those users not willing to use the sites outside of imvu
however inconvenient this may seem, there are positives to the situation. and as per usual, imvu is just going to halt the sales in their forums anyways. |
Buyers do too have to register to browse and views shops on GASR. I keep advertising but most are complaining they don't want to register. Log out, then try to look around. You only get one forum section, no shops. Even the Search bar disappears until you log back in. There is a way in the Administration Panel to where the site can be open to everyone including site viewers. |

I'm still pretty upset over this, as are a lot of people. It's true that people don't need to register in order to browse shops in the new forums, but they do have to register to post an order. Lets be honest: people are lazy and aren't going to want to do that. As a result, we aren't getting nearly as much business.
It also bothers me that they're eventually going to delete all of our threads, so we won't even have a way to divert people to the new sites.
The whole situation was handled in a very arbitrary and high-handed way. _________________

| imvu has done a lot of things that basically annoyed me but this is the worse. Everyone who has put there time and this isnt just something ppl just came up one day and said oh i wanted a shop some ppl have been on here for years its like you didnt take that in consideartion. You know its funny how you say thieves no matter what there is always going to be someone whos gonna steal some kinda way. but to make it harder not only for ppl with shops but there customers also suffer . That is where it becomes unfair . |

This is the stupidest move .. well okay lets not get ahead of ourselves, i mean one of the MANY stupid moves IMVU has made. i dont understand why they continue to piss on their users. i really dont. Eventually there will be no one left.
List of stupid moves:
- THIS!!
- The credits thing for creators.. wth?! 2 weeks to get what ive earned? you must be kidding me.
- Photo Stream..THIS IS NOT FACEBOOK!
- the shop difference for users on accounts less than 3 months old.. what?
- The games.. Again.. THIS IS NOT FACEBOOK! (i know they were removed but still)
- Walk Off.. WHY? STUPID!
- The music rule that unables us to have more than 2 songs from one album on a mix.. riddiculous!
Im sure theres a BUNCH of other stuff, but this is just what came to mind
IMVU keeps saying how things they change are because of people who are taking advantage and because its for fraud and for a bunch of other stuff. well up yours. its riddiculous. IMVU is trying to implement a kind of security and safety net that will never work.
If people wanna do something.. they will. If they want it bad enough they will find a way to get around it or do it someplace else. & people WILL join them.
How do you think *** works in real life? We have police and rules and all that *** but people who want to do something do it. its like the law of it being illegal to get tattoos on the neck and the hand. in my country anyways. i know its legal other places. But whyy? why make it a law thats punishable by jailtime for a person getting something they really want and is thought out. if people later regret it thats their own fault. they should learn to take the consequences of their actions. But jailtime for that is insane. Like let people do their thing and if then someone does something thats obviously cheating or scamming a lot of people.. then take action. otherwise.. leave the people who havent done anything alone.
IMVU.. i sincerely hope you enjoy laying out the path to your extinction.
Random rant:
I know what im about to say might upset some of the younger IMVU users, but just know that i have nothing against you guys, you just kinda .. erhm.. well youre a big reason for all the "oh my looord! is that boobies!? REPORT THAT PERSON FOR VIOLATION OF A BUNCH OF ***!". Its insane. just make IMVU an 18+ thing. _________________ My Shop|Skin Shop |
