One last thing I forgot to mention. You need to always make your Opacity layer and your Texture layer EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE. And keep them EXACTLY LINED UP. The easiest way I can suggest is to make both the texture layer and the opacity layer in the same file in photoshop or Gimp or whatever program you use. Then save as .png pics with just your Opacity layers showing and then again with just your Texture layers showing.

Pictures off the internet are copyright images. You can not use copyrighted images on products you submit to the catalog. It goes against the TOS and the creator agreement you agreed to. Best thing to do is draw them yourself.

Thanks to you I can submit my own tattoo designs for my avatar, I was wondering how to make it look more realistic and your coloured tutorial really helped (I feel so blonde for not even thinking about what you've done here)

Also, a reminder to people, if you use something off the internet, make sure it has commercial use rights from the original source, and you can prove it.

That is something I believe one have to research for himself/herself, I don't think the forums is the place to tell one how to work around what is copy right or not, its too sticky and no precise answer other than asking the owner of the product or material, in general when we create our own product we cannot use these intellectual properties like our own property, because it would not be fair. We need to follow certain steps in order to use intellectual properties,
Such as paying money, citing or referencing the intellectual property. It all depends on the intellectual property ownersÂ’ intent.

For that reasons the copy right law were established and the law defines, regulates, protects and enforces the way of using the intellectual property.

Not all materials over the internet copy right protected but it is the person/developer responsibility to make sure they are not fringing on copy righted material/product or IP rights (Intellectual Property) since most cases its these rights that is infringed upon.

I have did little research on the matter, its best to ask the owner of the product before using it, or following there intentions if written before use, that is bout your safe bet.

The ones I use in my examples are for the back but placement can vary. You can use a whole back tat and just create a shoulder tattoo and use the opacity to block out the rest. OR you can look for anyskin tats for specific areas, like arms, legs, chest, stomache etc...

If you mean how do you draw the actual tattoo, then I would suggest starting by sketching it by hand. Then scan it into your computer. Finally you will do your coloring and "clean up work" in photoshop. If you would like to learn how to draw in photoshop I would suggest going to youtube.com and searching "How to draw in photoshop". This will give you LOTS of wonderful tutorials to teach you many techniques for actually drawing from scratch in photoshop.
