I would like to pose a question.. this is my first time so i hope i do this right..
I have been the target and other on here i am sure of Stalkers both male and female......hackers and all around bad people .....I am Vip and want to know why imvu does not make it safer for it's clients on this site.....you block people and they still stalk your page and you cant see who it is to report them..they constantly try to harrase you in anyway they can......you pay a monthly fee just to be harrased . 1. question Once a person is blocked they should not be able to still stalk you still 2. Imuv should fix it so that if a person does this you can at least see who it is so you can report them...but how can you report a blocked person if you the client cant see who it is because you have blocked that person.....can some please answer this question for me...
frustrated by the stupid behavior of others who have no life. |

1. People can visit your homepage but they won't be able to see anything on it.
2. You can see who tries to visit or visits your homepage here.
If you block someone then they can't message you, invite you are see your homepage or visit your public rooms even though they can see your avatar card and click on visit homepage but if they are blocked they will not be able to see anything. If you want to report someone to IMVU you need proof that person is harassing you or trying to hack you like a message from them or a chat log send out from the IMVU client or any kind of evidence like that. Someone visiting or trying to visit your homepage multiple time does not however count as harassment or a crime and does not make them a bad person.

| If your not the constant victim of harrasment you could not possible understand what i am going threw ..i am and know that i am being harrased....constantly......all a person had to do is make another avater and continue doing what their doing...one does not have to be a genious to figure this out and and it's happening alot on imuv not just to me to others so i know what i am talking about....and if someone constantly does you it is harrasement i might not be able to do anything about it threw imvu but i have the right to voice my opinion about it and ask if their is something that can be done about .....and yes it does make them a bad and very sick and disturbed person to constantly harrase someone that does not want their attention... |

One suggestion I have is to ignore them. You will find that most people that behave this way are doing it because they are getting a reaction from you.

You're going to get that on any social site online. If what these people are doing doesn't threaten you - and I mean in terms of someone being able to access your personal info and stalking you to your house or something of that nature- then just ignore it or block them.

If you block someone, they can't send you messages or invite you to private chats. Even if IMVU has the ability to keep them out of public rooms with you, this would be completely irrational. IMVU has tons - sometimes I think too many - safety features. If you're having this much of a problem, odds are, you're not really threatened or you're not reporting it enough or properly. I apologize if I'm wrong.

As I said, they can't. They can see your page, but what can they even do with that?

This confuses me. If you blocked them, you had to have known their name at some point. What can they possibly still be doing to harass you?

Well, I see what you're saying, but we might be able to relate and help a little better if we knew exactly what type of harassment you're dealing with. Do specify.
-Are they harassing you in chat rooms or through messages?
-Are they attempting to hack you?
-If so, is this proving successful?
-Are they going to the lengths of creating multiple accounts to harass you?--Are they trying to acquire your personal info - eg, your phone number or address?
-Are they attempting to harass you outside of IMVU?
-If they're harassing you in chat, have you sent a chat log to be reviewed?
-Have you even reported this to anyone before complaining about horrible safety reporting issues on this forum?
These things would be helpful to know. We can't do very much with 'someone's harassing me, and no one's helping'.
I might add: You claim that someone's stalking your avatar page. If you're referring to your homepage, what is it that you're trying to protect? They only information that's really there is your location, your age, your relationship status, etc. A stalker can't get much from that, and even if they could, you posted that information. You can hide your region, age, chat room location, and birthday. Don't post what you're not okay with EVERYONE seeing. You're taking your own risk there. |

On your account settings page. Change your message settings to buddies only, or just you, or off.

People can visit your homepage so the '' last visited person '' page saves The avatar picture and the name of this person so you MUST watch it again. even if you blocked the person and you dont want to see anything of this person again This person can still do hes/shes thing to psychologically attack you. This is deeper then you tell. please dont try to claim its not a bad thing, If you look on my web profile right now the person ''[name removed - Auntiepjl]'' doing this to me, do i realy need to put off the '' last visited panel '' for the public only for 1 person ?. it needs to get fixed. |

there are many ways to stop people from reading your messages on your home page, looking at stuff on your home page, you go to your account, and just mark things as only me or friends only, many times this stops unwanted snooping or messages. goodluck!
