It's a good tutorial, but I'm still having several problems.
The worst: those gaps at feet and wrists. I still can't get rid of them, I don't know how. Neck is fine.
Then I can't load previously saved physique file to a collapsed bodysuit (added physique modifier there), because "Open *.phy file" button is greyed out, not clickable... It makes me mad, because other body parts (hands, feet, etc.) have normal and colored open & save buttons there! |

as i said earlier for the gaps on the wrists and ankles use target weld in edit poly and as for physique before u load it there is a button with a lil man and with a little red dot in the middle click on thatt and then go into wire frame of the avatar and then click on the pelvis node and then click initialize and then open physique _________________

Thanks, I forgot to click on the pelvis node first.

For some reason it doesn't work. When I click on a vertex there's a line attached to the mouse cursor, and I can't click anywhere, the line doesn't go away until I right-click.

welding problems, you may want to take a look on this tutorial.
http://www.imvu.com/catalog/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpbb2&file=viewtopic.php&t=426599&view=previous
which max are you using max?
cos I keep getting the same thing and by pushing X i get it to show the gizmo, but this is not going to help you weld those vertices.( i think is my mouse, I am using a gamer mouse and since i change it i get all weird problems whit max but can`t help it , I am a gamer lol) _________________

as Jaleman31 said if u see those lines with no arrows u need to push x or if u dont already have the move tool selected u can select it form the tool bar up also with target weld when u click on a vert to unite to another one it will also make a dotted line that shows u where its gonna connect _________________

I'm using Max 2012.
Now I took a screen shot, this is what I see when zoomed in, and there's no way I could weld that leg vertex (blue) to that pink part (ankle) like this.
