For myself, it's a hobby. I'd love for it to be my full time job. How cool would that be? Working when/if you want. Fitting it around your life. And I do see it as a real career. It's graphic design, essentially. _________________

I am a hobbyist.
A LOT of people I chat with on here create and hope for enough sales to cover their shopping and submitting more.
A few rely on sales to help them have a little extra income to pay for their electric bills or something similar each month.
And a slight few are here (and other chat sites) as their form of full-blown income.
Times have changed at IMVU and I worry about my friends who do this for any revenue expectations.
I hope they consider looking for different jobs to be honest. _________________

Being a freelancer in another profession, I'd strongly advise against considering IMVU content creation as a full-time job.
It is like putting all your eggs in the same basket... never a good option.
And even if you become successful, the current context on IMVU adds some other risks of the unmanageable kind. |

There are people close to me?
:::...looks around...:::
I barely do anything here really. Been busy with real life stuff. Imvu is an artistic outlet for me. _________________ my stuff |

I wrote that? Sign that I should actually be asleep. OK, fixed.
By the close people I mean partner, family, relatives, friends, etc. _________________ Lord of the Rings group | Angrod and Caranthir

The only time art work is a hobby to me is when I’m drawing it for myself. If I’m doing art (I call it art because I have to use those skills I have to make my items) and posting it up somewhere for some one to buy it becomes a job. I did this seriously every day on IMVU when I was out of work and boy did it help me along. Now that I do have a full time job in rl IMVU has become a part time thing on the side to help me make up gas money (which is friggin outrageous), to add a lil extra to pay the light bill, and to pay on the net bill. My mom always gets this surprised look on her face if she runs out of her meds and I sell creds to get em for her
The only thing that bothers me about hobbyist, and it’s not really a bother, is that it may in someway discredit those that do, do this full time if that makes any sense. _________________
