try to only match the gems you have power ups for. Also be sure to pile up a few Walk ons so you can trigger them consecutively and that way make you win the game ^^ _________________

With super powers
Wild one
Superstar
Cold shoulder
1) collect gems in this importance
- red
- yellow
- blue
- mystery
- others
- pink
2) play the wild one super power
3) in your free go from the wild one play the super star power up
4) smash as many pinks as you can in 2 gos
5) play the cold shoulder when your opponents power ups are almost full
6) repeat.
However this is all going on in the background, the priority is to snap up the +5 +10 gems before your opponent. You should try to pick moves that obstruct them getting points too, where possible. Rows of four or more are always handy if they drop out a couple of points gems in one go.
There, given away all my secrets.
I win,a lot _________________

Wild One
Hot Mess
Superstar
(I think dats what they are called) xD. I'm thinking of changing Superstar though to something which covers 2 colours. Then basically use the power up when the gems are available and get lots of chains! Tis good points!
Use Wild One a lot! Extra turn is aweshum.
Hot Mess, I just like it because sometimes there are no red gems or the colour that I need.
Always go for colours to get your power ups! And try look for the 4+ chains to get an extra turn! Use your time wisely, you have 10 seconds, don't rush it. And always prioritise +5 and +10s - unless ders like a 4 chain somewhere, extra turns are aweshum (really depends on the situation) xD. |

I try not to use the Walk Ons but since others do, I find Cold Shoulder valuable. Allows me to at least stop the other player from using theirs.
I think overall, winning just involves paying close attention to what's going on. _________________

I agree with you, I like the fun in the game and the Style Moves kinda ruin the fun if that's all you do. I only use them in dire emergencies like if I am way behind or if I am about to run out of time, Personally I use the Following
Kiss Off-this is good to have if your opponent keeps getting the extra turns....this disables extra turns for 2 or 3 turns
Wild One- if I need more time to find a move that I couldn't find in 10 seconds I'll use this to get another turn and also add points to a gem that didn't have them
Cold Shoulder- I try to save this one for the people who like to do nothing but use Style Moves
I admit I have won the game quite a few times without using the Style Moves.... even against some people who do nothing but use them. _________________

Always use cold shoulder to block them from using their own powers. Save cold shoulder till near end game some players will use all their powers right at the end to win that is when you cold shoulder.
Match 4 gems=another turn
Match 5 gems=5 points and leaves a 5 point gem on board.
Wild one you can get 10 points and another chance to score points with gems.
Use those gem points up.
More to come. Its late and I am tired. Shall add more tomorrow. _________________ Yes it's me on fb Poke!

I'd agree with most of what Jamo said, except that if there is a 4x gem set lying around, I'd get it.
It gives you an extra move, and sometimes, they stack when you get runs on gems.
When I use cold shoulder, I also focus on collecting blue gems if I have some leeway in score... because you definitely want to cold shoulder again, to keep the other opponent at bay.
Also, if you can time your special usage towards the end of the game... remember, if you have three specials, and you're at 70 or more points... you're three specials away from the win... just three turns as long as your opponent doesn't get a huge run of plus-style gems, or is far enough away to let you win that handily. _________________ As sexy and suave as Sean Connery. I use a distracting (silly) outfit to help keep their focus not on the game entirely, thus not seeing the power gems. _________________ I'm the type of man that Mommajack warned you about.

Style moves: Wild One, Cold Shoulder, Kiss Off
There are pros and cons to all style moves. Find the combination that suits your style of play.
1. Look for 4 of a kind or better... especially with mystery gems. Gets you not only an extra turn but 4 or more gems if you need them.
2. Focus on the colors that go with your Style Moves.
3. DO NOT use 2 or more Style Moves of the same color. Gems are accumulated based on the color....not individual Style Moves.
4. Chain reactions/combos win games. They create more points for your score and god only knows what will drop in from above. I have won games on my second or third turn on a lucky series of combos.
But most of all....have fun...finish what you start. I had one game I was down 60 points and won and visa versa.
Having fun and good sportsmanship make a huge difference. |

I have used some if not all of these strategies - I even go into the game with my avatar dressed as a big BBQ chicken or a worm lol. That strategy seems to work actually but some people seem to get weirded out by it so they will just leave the game.
However, it doesn't matter your strategy. The game is based more on chance and luck than actual strategy. You can use strategy to help increase your chances on winning but it doesn't guarantee anything.
When the game first came out, I used to win almost every game. It seems the difficultly has changed or been adjusted or something now though, after the update. No matter what strategy I use I don't win as much as I used to. Also, for some reason, I never get to go first. It's rare if I ever do.
As Sullear said before me, she's won games on her second or third turn on a lucky series of combos. The game is based more on luck than anything else. You can't know what's going to come up from the top of the board and you can't know how your move will affect the other gems further surrounding it unless you pay super close attention, but nobody really has the time for that.
One thing I like doing is watching the bottom of the board. It seems like no one really moves gems from the bottom very much. Doing this helps pull a whole string of gems down. When you do it from the top, it's less likely you will get combos. The closer to the top, the less rows you have. People seem to not notice when there's a string of four on the bottom as well so I always check for that when it's my turn. _________________ Prima to Maddy

I do that too. Most people I've played don't seem to notice what's going on at the bottom. For those that do, if there is also something near the top 95% of the time I've seen them chose to take the top instead. |
