Careful there. Some of the Elitist bastards are forcing newbies into begging. IMVU could lose a lot of new accounts because of how they are treated by IMVU (aka banning). While begging is wrong, seeing a newb get trash talked by a VIP or a Name Holder or booted from a room because they "Look like a tard in all the newby swag" (Has seen this) has forced some of them into begging just to get into a room. IMVU could get into trouble willy nilly banning beggars. There would have to be some kind of filtering. Is it just a newb forced into doing what every IMVU person loathes or is it a lazy entitle prick who's never had to work for anything in their life. The begging situation is getting complicated (though I hardly think this suggestion falls into one of those complicated gray areas of elitists putting newbies in a bad situation for kicks).
That Aside,
No. New accounts get 3K because it's just enough if you're on the stingy side to not look "new" and it's also just enough to sucker people into buying credits because most newbie accounts don't know about resellers or the offers just after joining. So OP just because you're lazy and don't want to work your but off like some of us actually do, that doesn't mean IMVU is just going to give you everything you need right from the get go. _________________

Geeze. She just joined a few days ago, and probably doesn't have a clue as half the stuff you are talking about. _________________

I see the funny faces and get the joke. (grin) But 3k is more then I got when I joined. Haha.
There are ways to earn credits in IMVU. You'll hunt them down in due time. _________________

No. Back when I joined it was 1,000 credits and you earned the rest. If you're actually in the forums (most newbies don't know about the forums or website) then you're well capiable of clicking the "credits" button and buying or earning more. _________________

modhat off
I vote no!
IMVU is a business, the point of the freebies is to make people want more (which clearly works) so that they will part with their real money to buy more.
If we got it all free then IMVU goes bust.
The rest of us part with our cash or wait until we can afford to do so. Why should someone else get it free?
Oh, and every time you buy from the catalogue with those promo credits, the Dev who made the item and spent hours doing so, gets paid 1 dev token regardless of the cost of the item. That's worth 10 credits.
More free credits to new users? No thank you. _________________

You get plenty more than what people got when they first signed up, and back when I did IMVU didn't practically hand as much predits out to us as they do today. So, no. _________________ Ah the sweet lemony-cactus smell of revenge♥ |

| Even if I did think 3k wasn't enough (and I think it's plenty), over 50k? That is nuts. The very MOST IMVU could hand out to new users without me getting upset as a dev is 4k. Instead of trying to make a hugely elaborate avi, do some smart shopping and keep it simple until you can BUY more. |

I agree to vote no because, like many others have stated, the elder IMVU goers only received around 1,000 free credits when they started.
Nowadays you also have many more opportunities to earn credits if you work hard and give it an honest try. Homepage Forum and GASR forums are basically free credits to those willing to dedicate and discipline themselves to learning a new craft. Contests - that's a given.
There are so many places that you can earn credits and free things and it's already a bit sucky that newer users are given more than those who have been here longer(Not counting grandparenting for creators, which I guess is a gift of sorts). _________________ [img:440ba85514]http://i41.tinypic.com/m8jsz5.jpg[/img:440ba85514]

I wouldn't mind seeing them bump it up 500. That would get most people who if they shop stingy like me and can make 3,000 stretch:
1 new avatar
2 Shirts
2 Pants
2 skins
1 eyes
1 eye brows
1 small hands
1 Head
1 Hair
and the extra 500 might go into maybe pushing it to 3 outfits.
And I only say 500 to make up for the fact that there's a price hike brought upon IMVU a while ago. My products used to be pretty cheep (300 range) and I was making about 100 credits, now I make 60 just to keep it in the 300 range. But I could never see it being 50K _________________
