Because the DMCA process is a legal one, once IMVU has received a counter to a DMCA notice, it's out of their hands and it becomes a real world issue. This isn't IMVU just doing it but all companies in the US. I have on numerous occasions lately seen on Google pages 'This image has been removed due to a DMCA issue'. If someone has filed a DMCA against you, just file a counter to it. Very rarely do they go much further. If you have filed the DMCA, and the offender has countered, IMVU should have supplied you with that person's rl details so that you can go and take it to a lawyer.

be interesting to see what the dmca is actually filed on, majority of your "products" are just icons Wink Maybe try posting on a diffrent "Type" of account.

'Derivable' does not mean you are allowed to use the mesher's icon.

What 4u is trying to say is that what we can see in your catalogue is just icons, and when we go back to whom you derived off of, you seem to have used their icons. Icons are DMCAable. While an item is left derivable, you can not use the original person's icons or advertising.

Now I'm not to sure if you just derived off of another account you own and just added your name of this account, or if you just derived off of someone else's stuff and just added your name to their icon. If it's the former, then you have no worries, if it's the later, as I said, you CAN NOT use someone else's icons or product pages.

Ahh Type how nice of you to pop in Razz

If your getting slammed with false dmcas, then all you can do is follow the dmca process and counter.

If you think someone has a vendetta against you, mention that in your counter dmca so staff might be able to detect a pattern.

If your going to try and get around the false claims by using an alt... don't make it so obvious ^^ If I can spot it in a 30 sec catalogue look.. so will others.

I think the process has to work in this way because of the genuine DMCA claims. If you were filing against someone who you think stole from you, you would want them stopped immediately. Well, I would anyway.
