In photoshop my opacity map has sharp corners and so does the png and jpeg. When I load it up in create mode I have rounded corners. It's on a mesh I made, if that makes a difference But why, I don't want rounded corners.

That made the edges go fuzzy.

is your opacity map sharp?

would you mind sharing it?

if blending is off imvu renders the grey colours into a smooth round edge. If you want to have square corners it has to be sharp and contrasty.

it looks like it is not solid black.
when you zoom the opacity you notice some grey edges and your problem might be caused by that.

on the other hand, the map is really small and it's hard to achieve a good effect on very mall surface.

No, I zoomed right in when I did the op map to get a cleaner finish. The size I set was 256px square and I didn't muck about with the size's when I mapped it. I tried with that size and a bigger size but it made no difference.

Does it still do it if you change the opacity to 2 colors?

It'll be because of stretching a small map to a larger space. This means things become more fuzzy and less detailed. I think.

So, oh wise Poly Razz is it because of the mesh mapping or more to do with opacity maps? Like, would it help if I re-mapped it to a larger size?

Well I would think that a larger map would get more detail, because it is being stretched less.

Ehh please don't ask too much of my head, I have a cold lol.

I blew up your opac map. There are some grays on the edge of the black. Do a rectangle select and fill it with 000000 see if that helps. Maybe set the color mode to grayscale too. If you haven't already. You don't need RGB with black and white. Then you can save it as a JPEG and it wont blend. That will keep the file size smaller if anything.
